Their ratings have nothing to do with the absurd notion that they are fair and balanced (or unbiased). They get an automatic 25% from those that are right wing Republicans who think that every other new source is liberal. The remaining 75% are spread around, including some who'll watch Fox. It's a built in demographic that gives them a ratings advantage. Ratings do not equate to quality.
Ratings mean everything if people dont watch that means companies wont buy ad slots which means they dont make money, which means they cant pay their employees. think about it. and if fox is putting out bad info or lies ther ratings would show.If you want to talk about a train wreck just look at MSNBC look at thier ratings.

This is from the Howard Stern Movie "Private Parts." I think it applies here:

Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.
Pig Vomit: How can that be?
Researcher: Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next."
Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?
Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.
Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen?
Researcher: Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next."

You are not how much money you have in the bank.

You are not your fucking khakis.

I think they are the most monitored by media watchdog groups. Counting the lies or distortions. I found Hannity's rants on the Rev. pretty disturbing.quite rascist. I just saw bits and was horrified. He must be a true mad man when he's on radio. I do think it's sad that many people believe it's must be true if it's on tv or radio. There should be a disclaimer so those unaware of this might realize it's not a diamond ring but a rats...ooh can't say it!
Why on earth would Repubs not see a possible backlash against these water carriers. It's like a horrible wreck, you should keep looking away but you peek. What about the poor sods who take investment advice from them. Sad.
Does anyone find Rachel Maddow's show a bit disappointing lately?
dont you think Rev. wrights rants are racist and as far as taking financial advice alot of people took the advice of
Barney Frank.and the only person that called him out was O'Reilly. Im just curious are you in favor of the fairness doctrine?

Its the train wreck syndrome. People watch to see what insane rant they have for the day.
