Jamie's right, many Americans are grossly overweight and it has been and continues to be a disturbing situation, here.
"American's like good food.an we're proud of it"
"Good Food" is not what's making Americans look like beached whales. It's the crap they eat. Hydronated vegtable oils..........fatty saturated snacks/meals and fast food are what's killing the overweight people of this country.
fattes nation in the world my ass.Have u ever heard of GERMANY! were they jus sit and eat chocolate and drink beer.
American's like good food.an we're proud of it.i sure could go for some homestyle cajun chicken right now!
The biggest shit i've heard for quite a while...Sorry man but it seems you never been to Germany
Beavis : Is this Pearl Jam?
Butt-head: This guy makes faces like Eddie Vedder.
Beavis: No, Eddie Vedder makes faces like this guy.
Butt-head: I heard these guys, like, came first and Pearl Jam ripped them off.
Beavis: No, Pearl Jam came first.
Butt-head: Well, they both suck.
How about the States where they just sit and eat Big Macs and drink Coke?
And don't forget that beer is healthier than Coke...

Unfortuantely I have two close friends who are grossly overweight, and I see people like them every day.
Here's an example of some of the ordering habits of my friends:
" I'll have the Mozzarella Sticks and Fried Mushrooms for an appetizer, and for my main course I'll have the Chicken Fried Chicken, with mashpotatoes, French Fries, steamed carrots and Onion Rings as side orders. I also want four biscuits and................ a diet coke (because I'm watching my girlish figure:rolleyes: ) "
A friggin' diet coke?
Yeah, everything else ordered is barely significant in calories and saturated fats, but that damn diet coke would be the culprit in putting you over the top of the health-orientated dietary chart! Give me a break!
While it may not be typical for all Americans to order and eat such a terrible assortment of saturated fats and carbs; it is a very common problem which has been gaining more and more ground with our citizens. There are way too many obese Americans. The kind of Obesity which limits their range of movement and narrows their choices of physical activity. The kind of obesity which creates severe health and emotional problems and significantly shortens their life-span. The kind of obseity which limits their abilities to be self-dependant.
Both of my friends are either very close to 40 or just above 40 years old (38 and 41 ).
They both for several years now have been suffering through physical/health problems as result of their weight. Everything from bone/heel spurs, gall bladder problems, knee and hip joint problems, weakened hearts and decreased lung function, wounds that won't heal and back problems.
The female friend has for as long as I have known her had a deep-rooted emotional problems with her weight; but she never follows through on any actions to reduce her weight, yet continues to eat in the manner described up above.
Make no mistake, there are many, many, many Americans who are health conscience, eat good, healthy foods and are routinely involved in exercising or taking part in physical activity.
But obesity has become a problem with way too many Americans.
The three main reasons it concerns me:
1) First and foremost, I love my friends and I want them to live long, happy lives and be happy in the process.
2) The sheer amount of food they devour seems wasteful to me.
3) It puts a terrible emotional and financial burden on their families (mothers, fathers and children).
Can I say that I apologise if I've caused anyone any offence by taking the piss out of overweight people on this thread. I've probably been a bit thoughtless. Thanks.

The day when most Americans eat the most in one single day and to the point we can't move at all and all we can do is unbutton our pants and sit on the couch and watch football is this Thursday. Just as we can't eat another thing as we have stuffed our faces with turkey and all the trimmings someone will say, 'is anyone ready for pie?' And yes, we'll eat the pie too . I'll have to go to the gym on Friday for a few hours just to make up for it.
"...believe in lies...to get by...it's divine...whoa...oh, you know what its like..."

I'm still not convinced that this dude's for real. The more I read his posts the more I believe him to be an imposter pretending to be a flag sucking hillbilly.
"American's like good food.an we're proud of it." - This shit can't possibly be genuine, can it?
