Sweet, I'll fill-out their feedback with "Bush is a terrorist!", I'll e-mail the CEO and sell all my shares in qantas. Thanks.

So it just depends on the message the shirt is giving? Would any of you support him if his shirt was "I want to fuck your toddler" or "Jews & Christians Suck" or would you defer to the airlines judgement of what is acceptable for their flights?
If you owned a business, would you prefer someone else told you what people were allowed to wear or would you want the ability to draw the line at what YOU consider offensive?
I guess it all depends upon what you deem as inapproprite, right?
I mean... what if his shirt said, "Death From Above - Kill 'em All (and let God sort them out)"... one of those Airborne t-shirts... or an anti-abortion shirt with a picture of an aborted fetus.. and he was kicked off?
I guessing a couple of you who are defending the airline would be saying the opposite and be claiming free speech violations. Am I wrong?
...
Personally, I fall on the side of the airline in either case. It is their environment and they are resposibile for it. If they don't want Bush is a terrorist lunacy or death from above or anti-abortion nutcase images on their plane... it's their call. You want to wear that shit... charter a private plane where you can say whatever you want.

I don't think anything should be offensive. The shirt could say "You suck" and no one would take offense. But when it targets a specific person or group all of a sudden it becomes taboo.
The real problem with all of this is that people take offense to it. Look, I'm an asshole, you are an asshole, we are all stupid and bush is the #1 terrorist. None of that should be offensive, unless you are looking for self-pity or something. Fuck Bush, and fuck me. I think people should be more compassionate when it comes to the decisions people make in this fucked up world, but in regards to verbal offense, it's just blown way out of proportion.
Atheists, Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhist are all fucked up. They all suck, they are all terrorists bent on the destruction of freedom. Damn it all to hell, jehennum or non-existance, I don't care, fuck it all. Way too much is invested in the illusion of emotion, it's so integrated that I find myself taking offense to words, even though I know they are just words.
A real insult is "you are an ignorant, self-centred, myopic, megalomaniac" not this crap that people cry about all the time.

It is their airline and they can do as they please but that doesn't mean we have to like that they choose to infringe upon passengers freedom to wear whatever they please. Nor does it mean that we shouldn't speak out against the companies policies. Personally, I think it is pretty lame to make a fuss about what someones Tshirt says. Everyones got an opinion and you're not gonna like many of them. Get over it. There was no danger involved.

The question is... what do you find offensive?
If the guy was kicked off for wearing one of those t-shirts with bin Laden's face in a rifle's crosshairs and was kicked off... that would be okay?

I dont have a problem with either that or the "bush is a terrorist" shirt. I am siding with the airline to make the decision of what is acceptable attire.
There isnt much I find offensive, but if I owned a business, I would certainly want to be able to kick someone out if they wore something I found unacceptable.
But Jasson, who had earlier traveled on a Qantas domestic flight wearing the Bush T-shirt, said his right to freedom of speech had been infringed by Qantas.
“I am not prepared to go without the T-shirt. I might forfeit the fare, but I have made up my mind that I would rather stand up for the principle of free speech,” Jasson told Australian media on Monday, adding he would seek legal advice."
And good on him, he might even win some kind of compensation for his infringement of rights.
One joke comes to my mind, does that airline wants to say that freedom of speech is only freedom of speech when it's spoken, and not written?

and that lawyer is going to tell him to quit doing fucking drugs, grow the fuck up and get a life...this is a privately held company and they can tell you that you have to wear diapers and a bib before you board their aricraft if they want to....else you can put yer ass on another brand of aircraft....period.
