Anyone on the East Cost feel slighted?

Eddie only doing solo shows out in CA and one in Vancouver, anyone on the east coast a little upset? Personally, I'm not. It's a small thing, I can understand why he's keeping it fairly local for him. I mean, I'd love it if he came near me, and I'd definitely dish out the dough to see him. Just curious to hear opinions on it.

I'm in Florida. I've felt slighted for years now.

But you move on. Pearl Jam/Ed shows don't reveal the meaning of life or anything. Sure, they're enjoyable--cathartic sometimes even--but why would anyone let the lack of shows be a crushing blow to their ego?

  • nope.

i agree..it makes sense for him to keep it small, keep it local. i think he is testing the lveles of interest, and also merely dipping his toe into the solo waters. tis a big change, so i think baby steps is wise. hope all enjoy...but hell yea, don't make it a habit! ;):D

I hope he adds a Seattle solo show, does the scheduled solo shows remaining - and that's it! I hope that gets the solo bug out of his system and then Pearl Jam can get back in the studio working on their next album. :)

I don't feel slighted, but I am bumming. Just one small show here would be oh so nice.
  • i don't feel slighted cause i'll be happy with Ed's "early stage warm-up solos" at as many N.E. tour dates as I can get to. just waiting for tour schedule to be released. best wishes to those lucky enough to live on left coast who can enjoy! into wild songs will be great live

    Agreed.

I won't be able to make it to any of the shows. I would love to see Ed live but we get him enough in the north-east and it makes sense for him to pick the west coast to do a small solo tour.

I hope he adds a Seattle show for all the hometown fans and then I hope PJ records a new record and tours as a band.

What does Pearl Jam have against Seattle proper? It is strange that they hardly play there. Granted the fans are probably like Supersonic fans, so maybe it makes sense.

It's been since 2005 (NW School benefit show) since they've played in Seattle.

Edit: What about the Sonics?? Is that some sort of a dig at hometown fans? Don't forget that the Gorge shows consist of mostly all Seattle area fans.

Really, since PJ started playing the Gorge agian in 2005, they have just chosen to play there being it so so spectacularly beautiful out there. That's the way The Gorge works here - it's considered in the "Seattle aerea," just 200 miles away in the middle of nowhere. :)

Don't worry about it. You'll get yours. He's not gonna just do West Coast and then stop. It may be a little later but it will happen.

No, I'm not really worried. Like I said, I think its really great that he's doing it. Personally, I'm not upset. But, I know how some people on this board can get. So I was just testing the waters so to speak. As long as the whole band comes around here later on at some point, I'll be happy.

I'm not worried if any of these tour rumors for the Northeast prove to be real and I get to see the whole band this year instead of just seeing ED on the west coast then I will be more than happy. I would rather see Pearl Jam than just Ed any day of the week.
