Last I checked, while out on the campaign trial, candidates do focus on the concerns and hardships of the people within those communities. There are steps that can occur on a federal level to help address these issues along with the local politicians and organizations.
Last I checked, Obama has addressed the economic issues Nader mentioned in the OP article. Perhaps he didn't address them in a way that's black enough for Nader's tastes, but he has brought them up.

And, no, I don't think Nader's a racist. Unfortunate comment, though.

Maybe Obama is talking "white" because he's half-freaking white?

    Geeze. Just sayin.

I guess this is how Obama knows, without a doubt, he's the frontrunner. Even Nader is riding his ass.

Nader's point was not about Obama's site...

I guess Nader thinks he should put more emphasis/attention on these issues. That's certainly his opinion to have.

And yes, I don't care for the comment, either. I have no problem admitting that.

frankly i'm not sure what his point actually was.

and i posted the plan because certain people repeatedly claim obama doesn't provide plans and details. so above i posted his plan for those communities you and nader are supposedly concerned about. so go ahead and ignore it again.

Nader's point is he has no shot at winning so he's going to use racially charged remarks to get airtime and try and push Barrack to do what he wants him to do...pretty simple really.

I never said Obama didn't have long, wordy plans...but the solutions are usually vague and come off, at least to me, as doublespeak quite often.

My problem has always been mostly with how Obama's record and actions haven't matched his words.

Comedy gold. I guess Nader should focus on Lebanese American neighborhoods and their problems if he wants to walk the walk.

This is the first I've heard of Nader in some time - I assumed he had dropped out gracefully from his campaign to focus on investing in the oil and big box companies.

Nader has a website? Damn, he is SERIOUS about this campaign. Maybe I'll vote for him if he gives me some of his investing tips.... wait, I guess he doesnt have to tell me....I'll just watch what companies he is talking negatively about and know exactly how he is investing. My guess from the last few months is he is investing heavily in Obama's campaign.

Assuming i've got this straight, because Obama is an African-American, Nader says he has to do "the number one thing that a black American politician" should do? according to whom, Ralph? You?
He's disappointing because he doesn't live up to your stereotype of a "black American politician"?

Well ralph, i guess that's one way to get media attention. To say i'm disappointed that you would say that is a huge understatement.

But somehow no disappointment posts about anything Obama has done this past week or ever. Sounds about right.

well, after reading the quotes I agree w/ ralph's sentiment but I hate the phrase talking white as if black people are sell outs if they don't talk like snoop. stupid choice of words and i hate to say it but ralph deserves all of the heat he gets for this one.

Why are you so eager to jump on me because i spoke out about how i felt about what Ralph said. It was wrong and you know it. I am entitled to speak my mind without a counter attack coming from you.

You are also wrong about me not being able to express disappointment in Obama. There was a thread in the last week or two about the barring of the two Muslim women from the photo at one of Obama's events. I said it shouldn't have happened and that was offensive and counter to Obama's commitment to bring Americans together. I also said that i would like to see Obama personally address this (because he hadn't), and he should publically apologize.

    Does that count???

    I guess not.

I've been replying in this thread. I'm not specifically eager to reply to you but if it makes you feel special, I don't mind if you think that.

And let me get this straight...you're entitled to speak your mind about what Nader said without me being allowed to speak my mind about what you said. Am I getting this right?

That's not even something Obama did himself. But I'll give you half a star for effort alone. :)

I don't need to feel special thank you very much. I didn't ask you to reply to me. I made a comment about being disappointed with ralph. You made the following dig back at me saying 'But somehow no disappointment posts about anything Obama has done this past week or ever. Sounds about right..

Of course you can speak your mind, but why the hell did you feel need to try and belittle me and say that.

There was no attempt to belittle you, at least not at that point. I simply thought it was bullshit to come on here saying how you're so deeply disappointed in Nader for a stupid remark and at the same time not be able to find anything to be deeply disappointed in Obama about.

I thought it was bullshit so I said so. I'm not going to wait and ask you first before I'm allowed to reply. Did someone pick you to be hall monitor this week and it went to your head?

So i can only comment on being disappointed on something ralph has done as long as i comment on Obama disappointments as well?

I think that is an unfair comment abook.

Nope, say whatever you want. But I can still call it bullshit if I think it is.

I thought your 'I didn't ask for you to reply to me' comment was a tad ridiculous....so I ran with that theme.
