thank god the head honchos at nbc have finally come to their senses and removed him from anchoring anymore political functions. that man makes me sick to my stomach. i cannot believe they actually let him go this long before making a move. he actually moderated a debate, anchored the state of the union and both political conventions before nbc made this move!!!??!?!?! wtf is wrong with the media in this country. can you imagine sean hannity doing any of that stuff!? me neither.

did anyone catch olbermann's kiss-ass "interview" of obama? if you did, i would hope you saw oreilly's where he actually asked him some tough questions and followed up. olbermann is a left wing nut job who has no right acting like a legitimate new journalist. the way he behaved at the rnc convention can be described as childish at best. beat it you douche bag!

    Hannity has done that stuff.

comparing Hannity to Olberman is actually an insult to Olberman.

i do not think he is the most biased of the talking heads as your title says. i think he is the only one that talks any sense nowadays and he calls it like it is in his special comments. i think he is on par with limbaugh, hannity, o'reilly et al. if you don't like what he has to say don't watch his network.

remember all talking heads on both sides are biased douchebags and partison hacks.

To me they are equal, but I found it funny that the OP was actually stating that Fox News doesn't do the same thing as MSNBC.

  • I agree with NBC taking him off of the live tv anchor job... he isn't fit for that.

But as far as opinion shows go, he isn't any worse than the other guys. At least he doesn't call his show a "no spin" show or "fair and balanced". I have no problem with opinion shows on Fox News, but it irks me when they claim to be balanced.

what all of these guys do is the equivelent of the op ed pieces in the newspapers. there is no objectivity to it therefore it is not news and gets its own section in the newspaper. personally i find olbermann a little more palatable than the rest because he is the only one in the media trying to hold the bush administration accountable for anything, which has not happened in the mainstream media ever.

Here's my take ... Olberman is slanted ... no doubt ... and so much so he should not be considered a non-bias participant. I found myself turning away from him quite often during the conventions.

But, Hannity flat out lies. AMongst other things ... he KNEW Obama wasn't a muslim, but he was more than happy to keep that bullshit alive.

They didn't. They just asked if we can "imagine Hannity doing any of that stuff." Which I can.
No longer overwhelmed it seems so simple now.

as if you actually watched MSNBC during the RNC...

and Hannity did do that sort of stuff, I'm pretty sure you watched him during the RNC...

I did watch a lot of MSNBC during both conventions...each time I had to switch to CNN of all places to save my sanity.

really? I think CNN is just as mind-numbing as MSNBC...however, I did like it when Tweety snapped at keith-o....funny shit, indeed....

for future reference, C-Span showed the each convention from start to finish...no commentary, just the convention...

You know what, I do watch C-Span normally for these types of things and for some reason, it never crossed my mind!!! Damn, where were you a couple of weeks ago!!!

And yes, CNN is ALMOST as mind-numbing, so I kept switching between 3 channels...MSNBC, CNN, and FOx News...I probably watched all of 10 minutes total between the 2 conventions on Fox News...most of the time on MSNBC and then 30% on CNN...if I had to do it over, I'd watch 70% on C-SPAN, and 10% on each of the other 3 to get the flavor. ;)

It's funny...despite all my raving, I watched most of the conventions on Fox News. I guess I enjoy having high blood pressure or something.

As much as I hate political pundits I can't help but watch or listen to their shows. My girlfriend says I do it to hear all the stupid people calling in because it strokes my Northeastern elitist ego.

I tired giving it a whirl ... I try watching Oreilly every now and again, I want to see their slant ... I cannot watch Hannity ... that guy is just a lying dooosh, plain and simple.

I actually thought the interviews Obama had with O'Reilly were pretty decent ... there were times when Bill said some slanted (jerky) things, but Obama called him out and actually had O'Reilly apologize once. Other than talking over an answer or two ... I thought it was a good interview ... and Obama won him over ... well, not on his views, but on his person.

What pissed me off about that O'Reilly interview was that there was a supreme feeling of disrespect on the part of Bill, despite many of the questions being fair. It seemed, at times, to be just above contempt, and he was very dismissive and arrogant towards Obama. Now I understand this is O'Reilly's shtick, but this is a man who has a 50% chance of being the next leader of the free world. This man could be our leader in a few months' time, and he deserves a bare minimum of respect. You can disagree with the policies, but respect the office. And let it be said I would feel the exact same way if McCain went on Olbermann and Keith was similarly douchey.
