Barack and Hilary and others are essentially planted undercover republicans imo...whether they even realize it yet or not. Out of the 8...six are absolutely terrrible choices.
Kucinich or Gravel are the only intelligent and morally correct choices. Of that... Kucinich
...all the rest are essentially the exact same pieces of shit standing in a different pile
This thing needs a serious overhaul...not just a new coat of paint.
So you really think Barak would have invaded Iraq? Hell, I don't even think Hillary would have.
I like Kucinich. If he gets the nomination, I'll vote for him. Now let's see if he does.

really probably anyone would be better than Bush. Bush is probably the worst case scenario. I just don't think Hillary or Barack will be separated enough from it all to be much of a difference overall. I could be wrong, but I think something more radical needs to take place. These commercial brand polish and shine candidates scare me. Something along the lines of a wise prophet instead of a starry eyed candidate. Bush has been such a nightmare...
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
I know I'm a dreamer, but I'd like to see the People unite and overthrow the embarrassment we call the Bush Administration. Impeaching obviously does nothing; actually forcing Bush and Co. to a halt and overthrowing our dictator is more along the lines of what needs to be done.
I'm sick of hearing people in other countries hate us, the citizens, for what our leader has done. He needs to be stopped now!

Usually, a dictator isn't term limited out after 8 years.

I don't think any of the Democrats would have. That does not, however, keep them from being pro-war. They who went along willingly are, at worst war hawks and at best poor leaders.
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.
He won't get anything if people are too afraid to stand behind him now.
For me, it has nothing to do with fear. I'm simply not a registered Democrat, so I can't vote for him in any primaries (and I'm not sure if I would - though he is one of my "finalists" so to speak). Besides, even if I could, I live in Louisiana, which pretty much counts for bupkiss during primary season.
Would you accept him as a Veep (you know, in case I win the nomination )?

Well for many it has to do with fear of him being a long shot. I'm just staying you won't increase his odds any by saying you like his stances the best but then not support him.
I'm not a registered Dem either. I think I can still vote in the primaries here, though. So why wouldn't you vote for him if given that you would be able to?

I never said I like his stances the best. I said he would be one of my finalists were I able to vote in the primary - meaning that given the chance I might actually vote for him.
Assuming that I wouldn't vote for him, then why? If I'm not mistaken, he's for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq to be replaced by an international security force (correct me if I'm wrong). While I find that plan infinitely superior to the Bush Republican's open ended (i.e. never ending) occupation, I'm not sure it's the best one. At the moment, I think a more gradual (though still expedited) pull out would result in fewer deaths.
I temper this with words like "not sure" and "I think" because it's possible my views will change over the course of the next year. And, contrary to the news coverage I've been seeing lately, the first primaries are still a year away.

I meant 'you' as in those who do fear he's too much of a long shot. I know you already said that wasn't your reasoning.
I support an immmediate withdrawl. It can't get much worse and peace keeping forces, imo, will be able to do a much better job with less resistance than us...so Kucinich works best for me.
I don't like to set in stone any of these opinions either but so far the things Dennis has been saying and doing have been very refreshing and exciting. It's not hard for me to rally behind him with a happy conscience.

If you're sick of it here, imagine if you were French. They've been through a lot more years of hatred than we have.
