The Iraq war is a success

We had the chance to take out al-qaida right after 9-11 with our invasion of Afghanistan. However, the gov't took too long to get into place and allowed OBL to escape along with a lot of the leaders of al-qaida. Then, the administration, still obsessed with Iraq, decided to go and attack Iraq. Thus, pissing off all the muslim radicalists in the area. This brought the war on terror to Iraq since it was so easy for terrorists to kill Americans so close to home. They're still attacking. War = no success.

we should have stayed in afgahistan until the job was done. I couldnt agree more.

Agreed. but i think the original reply was sarcasm.
    ...
    I know.
I just wanted to point out that it would be REAL easy to 'enlist' in the Iraqi Army right now. They are accepting fat old men into their forces. It's a paying job to them. And our policy is focused on quantity, not quality. Get the numbers up so we can report back to the policy makers that we are making progress.
And... what ever happened to the Republican Guard and the Fedayen fighters? They surely didn't take on our armoured divisions and infantry units in the 'Combat Phase' in 2003. They swapped their uniforms for civilian clothes and disappeared into the crowds... where did they all go?
My guess? Back into the Army. Does this change their mindset? My guess? Nope... they still want to kill us.

when have I contradicated myself? I have always been against the war in iraq because of the false information. I am for staying and fighting el queda in iraq. we have killed or captured many leaders and now its time for an exit strategy. thats my opinion. and no I havent.

I think people who believe this war was about "making CEO's richer" is a joke.

If you really believe that, you need to break out the windex and clean off those rose colored glasses you have of the world. I've been on the in with politics for quite a while, and I can tell you that it's the big business and their campaign contributions and lobbying are the powers behind every decision.

maybe we should let kim jong il run our country. everyone seems to hate the leaders of our country no matter who it be because of so many lies and corruption. dont even say clinton was an angel. he was as corrupt as any of them. if not more.

no one is saying that, you're the one that has no defense. I say that the government is run by CEO's than you say "maybe we should let Kim Jong Il run our country", seriously you are like the bouncy ball of the board, you never know where you are going with anything

You mean you have no reason? You just as soon as someone disagrees with something you believe, you label them as a supporter of the enemy. You do that ALL THE TIME...

I'm glad this place makes you laugh, because you and your contradictions of yourself make many here chuckle...

Whenever someone here says anything negative about the war in Iraq you respond with a comment like "and rumsfeld and cheney trained the pilots who flew the planes into the WTC"

I have to ask this, and I have asked it before, but did you used to post here under the name pychosinluv

He spells and forms sentences way to well to be psycosinluv.

It's just a simple question, why would I support Kim Jong Il over our government? Because I said CEO's are the ones who influence the government more than the people who elect our leaders?

If you can't answer something like that, that's sad
