Does anyone have anything positive to say about Obama?

And specific?

Just wondering.

Posts on this board mirror the candidates' campaigns - all negative about the other side, but nothing positive or of substance about their own policies.

Yes. very briefly, I support the ending of the tax-cuts for the wealthy accompanied by tax cuts for people like me.

I also like the fact that we are going to try to engage our enemies in dialogue in an attempt to solve problems.

Tuition money for community service for college students is fantastic as well.

    I like his tax proposal...

I like that he wants to address the nations crumbling infrastructure...

I like that he thinks things through...

I think he's an excellent speaker.

He wore a great tie during one of the debates.

When he says, "listen"... I tend to listen.

He seems like a genuine guy, like he really does want to make this country better. I just don't agree with his policies.

hitler was a good speaker to, can't deny that. not much to like about him.......

i'm not comparing obama to hitler in any other way besides them both being good speakers. I just don't see that as a reason to LIKE a candidate.

Since there appears to be SOME negativity towards him being black, I'll just say he's half white?

I don't "like" him at all. This thread was about saying something "positive" about him. I did that.

touche. missed your point, my bad. I just hear so many people say they support him for this reason and i think it's a pretty poor reason to support him.

Obama is very smart and obviously a very hard worker. He understands the gravity of things and I doubt he rushes into decisions. Just seems like a solid guy all around.

His ability to be calm, collected and his measured responses are all certainly positives in my book.

I hope though that he is able to show some measured passion as well, that's missing.

Obama has intelligence and vision and can turn that vision into results through excellent staffing and strategic choices. If he runs the presidency anything like he has run this campaign, he will be one of the most effective presidents the U.S. has ever seen.

    well said.

    and he's the cat's pyjamas.......is that positive? :p

i think he will be an extremely effective president and world leader. i think he will do much to unite our country, i think he will work wonders with how the world perceives us as global citizens, and i think he will do much to end the war quickly and safely, reform our healthcare and work on the deficit.....for starters. i see him as president being an extremely *positive* step for our country, period.

With the promise he's made, he'll have to run the presidency like his campaign....needing billions of taxpayers $. ;)

    Crap, suppose to be positive....

I actually like the idea of using diolugue with nations to try and drive the behaviors and results you would like to see.

He's so good at speaking that you get lost in his words and 10 minutes later you realize he didn't say anything. He can use this ability with world leaders, when he wants to meet and not really say anything.

That's BS. There are plenty of people around here saying original positive things about Obama. Actually, it's mostly McCain supporters and Anti-Obamaists who are mostly echoing McCain's talking points.

Finally the first sane post on here! I can't believe so many people are voting for Obama citing his showmanship as the BEST reason to vote for him. I can't conceive that someone would vote for a man based on his capability to talk without really saying anything...wow

  • I find his efforts to be quite admirable. The guy was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth after all. I think it's a positive reinforcement to see a person work as hard as he has and is now at the point where he might possibly be the President of the U.S. He's kind of like the real life version of the "American Dream".

he's married to the mother of his children
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.
