I can't help but wonder what the deer and squirrels and cats and dogs and spiders and ants in all the planet's countries think of us humans.
Whether we're tan and trim in Spain, or obese cowboys in America, or snobby sonsabitches in France.....

Unfortunately, these things happen in soccer matches. However, there's a big outcry every time it happens, with substantial fines incurred on the home team. The UEFA also has large campaigns to circumvent the problem. It is also more and more being dealt with in the supporter clubs of the teams, where such individuals will be turned away.
Europe does have problems with racism too. There is no denying it. And here it sometimes happen in sports games. But we are also moving in the right direction I think. As gabers said, there are morons everywhere.
And for the record, I do not condone either the demonization of americans in general, nor the "they are all crazy communists" view of europeans. Both terms are too general to be truly meaningful.
Peace

Personally, I think of America as a European nation in many respects. It has far more in common with Europe's political and cultural traditions than the rest of the world. Plus most of us are white.
Why is that even important? Seriously, why is it important that most of you are white? Do you have to be white to be part of a certain culture? To understand certain traditions?Well, I suppose Europe isn't mostly white anymore right? Heh heh. But they want that so it's okay. I suppose Europeans would sound racist if they didn't want to allow massive immigration from Africa and the Middle East.
