It's psychological, I can look at porn every day and still be aroused by an ankle. But my brain rocks, if I really tried, I could probably get off just thinking about it :p

does this apply to kiddie porn? a small minority of people are against kiddie porn? I don't think so

I would think a large majority would be against Kiddie porn.

yeah they are but how long until more and more people find it acceptable, are you at that point (if you still live) going to accept it as OK?

Well, if the majority think it's ok and to the point where laws are ammended, I'll have no choice but to accept it as a part of our society, like homosexuality for example.

The simplest and most direct definition of addiction (as I have learned through many years of listening to Loveline) is repeated destuctive behavior in the face of serious consequnces. These consequences can be damaging of one's relationships, financial situation, health, and even freedom. This isn't necessarily a moral debate, the moral debate lies in the laws ( and the proposition of new ones) that try to limit these destructive consequences. The actual addiction is just someone who cannot pull themselves from an activity, while well knowing the destructive consequences. In an interivew I saw a while back Anthony Keidis described this mindset of an addict as "buying the lie", meaning the addict has the illusion of control and somehow thinks he can cheat the consequences just one more time. This "buying the lie" is what hurts the persons loved ones the most as well and this addiction is no different.

I don't have any loved ones, so I guess that's why no one gets hurt. ;)

i personally think that porn desensitises people to sex, and makes it harder for people to become aroused by things that would have aroused them had there been no porn. I mean back in the day women wore long skirts and men would get all horny if they saw their ankles or something. now though a completely naked woman might not even turn people on, its just gonna get harder core until people are doing completely demeaning and revolting things to each other because we have become immune to the concept of sex in itself. so yes its an addiction like that i agree

    exactly.
i think that is the real/true 'danger.'
i think too, it HAS been shown for some to actually decrease/interfere with their drive for 'real life' intercourse.....interfere in relationships....etc. as someone else mentioned, that IS the nature of addiction though, no matter what. i think the internet makes it a helluva lot easier. however, i think parents need to parent their children, and adults have free will....and that's that.

I think the world would be a poorer place without the contributions of such legendary cocksmen as Ron Jeremy, max Hardcore, and Rocco. These guys really know how to please a lady.
I met ron Jeremy on London Bridge during an anti-Bush demonstration a few years ago when George Dubya visited London. I can't remember much else about the day other than I got to shake the hand of a legend. I remember saying "Ron Jeremy fucks Bush!" And "Make porn, not war!"

I met Ron Jeremy at a Black Crowes concert in Dallas, TX in 1996...maybe 1997. Got him to sign my ticket stub, and I also shook his right hand. That hand has been more places…

Whatever the majority believes isn't necessarily right. The majority could believe that killing a guy on a park bench for no reason is okay. That doesn't make it moral or ethical. Adults having sex with defenseless children is wrong regardless of whether the majority believe it or not.
