    :D
is it wrong that your first sentence so made me laugh?

privacy has been erroding at an ever quicker pace...and probably moreso than any of us even realize. we volunarily give up much by doing something as innocuous as using a credit card! and it's just so damn convenient, we continue to do so. it IS a scary 1984 world to imagine all of *this* though! the 'war on terror' seems more like a war on ALL, period. nothing accomplished but damage, death and more disaster.....

    and this:

REALLY made me laugh. so thanks again.....:p too true eh? one can only hope for the continued incompetence of their government for certain things, anyway...
Wow! I like you so far!

What happens if a company that you may work for tells you have to have one for security or just to monitor you? It could also be given to you like a drug test in order to be employed by that company, what do you do then?

If we continue to have Presidents like GWB, I don't see that as an impossibility. If it does happen Amsterdam here I come.

Go on welfare :) . Although in fairness, a mobile phone is halfway towards being a microchip anyway... records all your movements and phone conversations.

As for ID cards  who the fuck do they think we are?

Oh don't get me started  wait til they bring out the microchip... and everyone will think 'oh my god, that's fantastic, I just get this chip inserted in my shoulder and I don't even NEED a credit card or a bank card' :( it makes me wanna cry. I don't have a credit card... I have an ATM card but that's about as far as it goes. I refuse to discuss anything serious on t'internet or even on the phone... cos who the fuck knows what they're watching or what decisions they may come to themselves... or even if they need a fall guy for something, they're bound to find SOMETHING you've said in the past... I mean how many of us have said something like 'oh my god, I could strangle him'. Then suddenly 'he' ends up strangled and we're right up to our ears in it.

I do wonder at what point people will start actually taking notice of what is going on around them.

Hell i wonder if they will ever say enough is enough.
Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

Doubtful :o I don't know what it is but some people see stuff like this clearly... others think we're nuts and they probably alway will. Of course both types of people think we're completely right and it's the others who are nuts :o . TBH I'd much rather that they're right in this case.

I think we need a revolution of some sort :)

I'd love to live in the mountains with you :D

I haven't seen or heard much protest. We've always had an identity card, so it's really not that different. Since I got it I only had to put it into one of those readers once and that was to see if it worked and to change the personal identification number if I wanted to.

I've had to show it to the police twice and they didn't use a reader.
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!
