And haha forget all that bullshit. If you think this is all because of some social culture policy, then I have some swampland in Florida to sell you. This dude is probably going to get fucked for some dumb securities fraud he did.
    Disney bought swampland in Florida...

I'm big on RIVIN and want the stocks to tumble a little further to buy some Tesla, Amazon and Google before the splits.

Haha, this is great, SEC getting involved on Musk - basically this is going to turn into Twitter saying, "no backing out now, dipshit. you're buying it. oh you think $44B is too much? But you'll be fined $1B if you don't follow through. Let's call it $5B then (make up a number between $1B and $44B, it doesn't matter, either way it's way way wayyyy too much) and it's yours." What a genius.

Twitter doesn't want Musk to buy them anyways.

Haha, oh Twitter definitely does want to take his money. I think what you mean to say is Musk never wanted to buy Twitter anyways.

You think?  The world seemed up in arms about it and thought Twitter was trying to hold on to some street cred by not wanting him to purchase.

I'm waiting for Trumps social media platform to go live but we all know that will never happen... It was all a ruse.

Isn't "Truth" his social media platform?  It's live, just lame evidently.  And full of bots.

I think the shareholders did not want to sell initially but then Musk made an offer that they were obligated to take.  Now he's either trying to cut the price significantly or backing out.  My bet is it doesn't sell.

I mean yeah I think public reaction was negative, but the "poison pill" was what was a ruse. I still think, as mrrussell said, it's most likely to not go through - but not because of the public's reaction and more to do with the TLDR explainer I posted. But if it does happen it's more because of the contractual obligation Musk now has to do so or pay a gigantic fine, or if the SEC wants - to prosecute.

Truth has been up and running. I'm sure it's GREAT.

Truth doesn't have an IPO, at least I don't think. I believe it's owned by a SPAC, which are mostly all garbage, too.

All this stuff - NFTs, SPACs, bitcoin, ethereum, blah blah blah should all be lessons to everyone on when to get in, and out, of a bubble/fad, and are not sound financial investments. Nothing wrong about riding waves but don't take them for anything else than that.

And doesn't a SPAC shield its "investors?" Like a bunch of Saudi money is backing it but we can’t really tell because they’re non-disclosed?

I think the shareholders did not want to sell initially but then Musk made an offer that they were obligated to take.  Now he's either trying to cut the price significantly or backing out.  My bet is it doesn't sell.

Truth is up?  My God why didn't I know this!?!
Because like all things Trump does they are disasters and normal people do not invest in them, nor are aware of them.

Isn't "Truth" his social media platform?  It's live, just lame evidently.  And full of bots.

Because it's full of idiots and racists?
I initially followed that stock because the IPO was so high and then I never heard another thing about it so I thought it was a work in progress.
Truth doesn't have an IPO, at least I don't think. I believe it's owned by a SPAC, which are mostly all garbage, too.

All this stuft - NFTs, SPACs, bitcoin, ethereum, blah blah blah should all be lessons to everyone on when to get in, and out, of a bubble/fad, and are not sound financial investments. Nothing wrong about riding waves but don't take them for anything else than that.
    Yes it was a SPAC.
And doesn't a SPAC shield its "investors?" Like a bunch of Saudi money is backing it but we can’t really tell because they’re non-disclosed?
I don't know that's true.  It's still publicly traded so there is some reporting requirements.  I had not heard of it as a shield for investors. It's a stock with no operations.  You have two years to acquire or else return money to investors.
