I dissagree with the firing; it's not right what he said and he shouldn't have said it, but look at all of these rappers. But, he is one freaky looking man!
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
From what I read a red pick-up truck drove out in front of another vehicle causing it to swerve right into Corzine's SUV. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt, from what I read, so that is prbabaly why his injuries are so bad.
He was on his way to Princeton for the meeting between Imus and the RU women basketball team.
You never know.
I was on my internship for my EMT license back in 2000 and we went on a call to a car crash (a pickup t-boned a car).
Everyone was wearing seatbelts and we had so many injuries. We had 5 people (including me and the paramedic) in the back of the ambulance. One lady broke both legs and a little girl lacerated her liver and broke some ribs from the impact of the seatbelt.
I always advocate wearing a seatbelt, BUT you MUST wear it properly. The lap belt should fit over your hips, NOT your stomach and the shoulder belt should be on your shoulder and not touching your neck and fit snugly.
Hopefully he will be ok.
Underneath this smile lies everything
all my hopes, anger, pride and shame...
Interesting new take on Imus. Evidently his contract called for irreverent and controversial "services". I wonder how this will play out.
...
"Company (CBS Radio) acknowledges that Artist's (Imus') services to be rendered hereunder are of a unique, extraordinary, irreverent, intellectual, topical, controversial and personal character and that programs of the same general type and nature containing these components are desired by Company and are consistent with Company rules and policies."
Toobin said the legal issues in the Imus case are simple: "Did Imus breach his contract by saying what he did about the Rutgers basketball team?"
CBS dismissed Imus on April 12, eight days after he called the Rutgers players "nappy-headed 'hos" on his radio show, "Imus in the Morning."
"What stands out in the contract is he is supposed to be controversial and irreverent. That's what his statement about the Rutgers basketball team was," Toobin said.
"How is CBS going to argue that what he said was so controversial and so offensive that it isn't what they asked for in the contract?"
Well, I guess we'll see. Imus is suing for $120 million and the way his contract reads and with the stand CBS is taking, it looks like he's going to prevail in this case.

Imus got a nice 20 million dollar payday per the drudgereport. And will be looking to be back on the air shortly.
It's strange how all this played out. Basically after all the protests, Imus got fired. But in reality the situation amounts to Imus getting paid half the money owed to him from his 5 year contract in one lump sum and basically taking a 6 to 8 month vacation.
Of course, I've never listened to him or really care about him, but as a neutral observer it's strange watching how this one played out.
Good for Imus! Glad to see he got his money from that racist, over-reactionary employer.
This should be good.
Can't wait till Rev. Al Sham-a-Lama-Ding-Dong Sharpton and Jesse Slap-Daddy Jackson get back on the Imus War Path, in protest of his getting his bling-bling payday.
If we're lucky, the biggest racists of all, the NAACP, will get themselves in the mix and really give me a good laugh! Nothing generates a heartier laugh than public speeches by representitives for the NAACP.

Don Imus Sued by Rutgers Basketball Player
Star Center Kia Vaughn Names Imus, NBC, CBS in Civil Suit
" This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn," said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz...
LMAO! Restore her good name and reputation? hahahahaha!
Kia...Kia...Kia.....only now, with the filing of this lawsuit; has your "good name and reputation" been sullied.
