Apparently Ed supports Obama

I got the following email from MoveOn.org. Note who is included in the list of judges.

"Every day, political insiders and pundits tell Americans what to think about the presidential race. But now, it's YOUR turn to take the megaphone. We want to run ads that are of the people, by the people, and for the people. So consider making an ad.

If you have acting or writing talent and have a friend with video skills, join as a team! Or, pass this email to a friend who is good at making videos. This contest builds on the success of MoveOn's "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest in 2004—which resulted in thousands of videos and a great winner that aired nationally.

Obama has already inspired many supporters to produce independent videos, and you can now be part of this movement. By combining all of our creative talent with the power of online video, we can help push Obama to victory. Thanks for all you do.

    I had a chance to vote in 2000 (just turned 18 before the elections) but didn't, and I could have help Al a bit. :(

    Does anyone feel this vindicates their choice more, just out of curiosity? And if so, how could it after almost everyone here would say John Kerry was a weak candidate choice in 04?

    Do you have a link? I was curious so I went to opensecrets...I couldn't find and contributions from any members of the band to Obama except Stone. It's odd to write a song about a guy that only one member has made a donation to. Who knows, though.

    the full band without eddie made "rock around barack", stone on vocals... it was stickied on the porch for a while... and it REALLY FUCKING SUCKED BAD

    And, in regards to MoveOn.org's ad campaign: If they really believed the following bit from their email, they would be doing a 'Nader in 30 Seconds' campaign.

    Ah, well yes, that was bad. But it was only Matt, not Stone, Jeff or Mike. I was under the impression there was a song out by those 4 in support of Obama.
