OK, this is an early election for the next president of the usa.

1. Who you want for President
2. If that person either becomes President or not, state who you would like to see him/her team up with.

At this point, I think I would vote for Bill Richardson.

I really don't know who would fit the bill as a good VP with him though... maybe Edwards or Obama.

I'm not a big fan of Edwards, but I think that he could do well as a VP for issues like health care and poverty. I just don't want him in charge for our foreign policy or military.

I would be ok with an Obama/Richardson ticket as well... that could be a nice balance of a charismatic leader and a VP that could add his executive and foreign policy experience.

Is Ron Paul considered a libertarian or a republican? I do recall that he ran for president back in the day as a libertarian. I need to 'read up' on him.

Ron Paul is very much a Libertarian. The Republican establishment despises him.

Next month though I am attending a meeting of the New Jersey Libertarian Party where well get to meet and discuss issues with the candidates for the Libertarian party nomination. Depending on what these people have to say my support may change to one of them.

hahahaha, I must say that a 17 year old Indian kid from Washington has had more of an impact on American society than any president in a VERY long time. Well... since Clinton and Lewinsky that is. There is this movie called American Dreamz where they actually address this issue. It's about a society where more people vote for the next pop singer on a pointless TV show than they do for the presidential election (which happened to be going on at the exact same time).

  • in all seriousness..mccain is making the most sense to me as of late. we cannot simply pull out of Iraq now that bush has gotten us into this massive clusterfuck we do owe the people of Iraq the decency to help them finish this to the best of our ability. this war should have never been brought upon Iraq to begin with. bush had a vendetta not a legitimate reason for war. i can't believe he pulled off fooling the people of the greatest superpower on earth to go along with it but he did. now that him and his daddy are happy he's gonna leave this bullshit in the lap of our next president.

  • I want Ralph nader or Dennis Kucinich. Anyone who is willing to pull out the troops is getting my vote. Yet no one save Kucinich and Nader are even discussing that.

To win in 2008 they need, NEED to get the antiwar vote. A person cant be elected without it

DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY THINK PULLING OUT THE TROOPS IS WISE? it just makes all the lives lost already fighting this thing wasted for no accomplishment whatsoever. all the lives and money spent gone. and trust in this... WE WILL HAVE TO GO BACK IN AND THE PROBLEM WILL BE MUCH WORSE FOR US THE NEXT TIME.

Actually Ron Paul and Michael Bednarik both believe we should pull the troops out immediately.

We won't HAVE to go back. We could CHOOSE to go back.

Pulling out is wiser than staying and sacrificing more lives. In gambling and investing they say never chase bad money with good. Same rule should apply here. We should get out tomorrow and stay out.
