we say prove it. Obama earned his nomination by going through the process, it wasn't handed to him as a gimmick.

    But really?
How would they spin it you think? Pretend you’re a Rep, or if you are one how can you make me believe she has a mind of her own when it comes to certain political issues?

Because when speaking on certain topics, she clearly has this clueless look about her.

Take a look at who gave him money.

Seems like she's gone from pretty humble roots to the governor of a very large state. From my observation, none of that looked very puppet-like.

What it looks like to me...
A political gimmick to garner votes based upon popularity, not substantive trainning.
This may work because Americans have become pretty adept at this kind of voting process... such as 'American Idol' or 'Dancing With The Stars'.

Corporatists protect corporate interests. Not the people.

I don't know how "being lost on a subject" makes one a puppet.

I would say Palin disagrees with McCain on ANWR, and has come out saying as much. So, this Pinocchio has a mind of it's own on some things.

Other than that, I'm not sure how you go about PROVING someone is or is not a puppet. It's a very broad charge that could mean basically anything.

This is a very odd thread indeed.

Palin was chosen for her outsider status.
Biden was chosen for his insider status.
Palin was chosen for her age as a counter to McCain's.
Biden was chosen for his age as a counter to Obama's.
Palen was chosen for her fresh enthusiasm as a counter to McCain's experience.

Every VP pick is a political pick with multiple considerations. Palin's was completely politically motivated. Biden's was completely politically motivated.

they'd ask you whose fingers you'd been sniffing.

  • I'd say most "Rebs" wouldn't care what you called her. She's a down-to-Earth, common person that most of middle America can identify with. You far left liberals keep bashing her all you want. Every time someone closer to the middle sees the hippies and limo liberals making fun of Palin for no experience (though she has more than "N"Obama), it will make them that much more likely to vote for her.
    Keep it coming...
Don't flatter yourself... your one vote in VA isn't worth anymore than anyone else's.
  • Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska. Alaska is the only state with the National Guard on duty 24/7 because of Russia being so close. She is basically a mini commander in chief up there. She has to know what is going on around their borders. I could care less whether or not she believes in Dinosaurs because honestly that doesn't really effect any of us. I mean when was the last time you heard of Dinos being a problem? The fact is even though she has only been the governor for less then two years, being in control of a state that is right next to a giant country like Russia opens up someones eyes and makes their training happen a hell of a lot quicker then say the governor here in Massachusetts.

Sorry, but i can't find common ground with her on anything.
And who's "N"Obama? Seriously? Wanna fill me in on the joke?
  • Sarah Palin isn't running for president. she isnt worth all this attention.
  • First off, it's obvious that both vp picks were politically motivated as said above. As far as being commander in chief of the national guard...please. Do you honestly think that our country wouldn't know if Russia was coming and if they were do really think that Sarah Palin would be calling the shots. Our military would be on that before she even knows about it. I understand why she appeals to people, mostly women, due to where her roots are. In my opinion I'd say a couple years from now she'd be an alright VP pick but at this stage it was just to pick up female votes...let's be honest people.

I didn't say she was the commander in chief....I said that she was "like" the commander in chief. I'm not an idiot, and I know that the military would be well aware if Russia was to pull something. I was merely stating a fact, that the National Guard is on 24/7 and that she is used to receiving information from them. That she is trained in certain emergency situations that someone else might not be. Listen, I don't think she was the best pick for McCain, I think he looked over far too many people before he landed on her. However, She is not nearly as bad as some people are making her out to be.

Wow! This post is amazing in it bewilderment.

Yeah.. ok.. you keep thinking she is her own little commander in chief to a state that the ENTIRE states population has less people than the population of the capital of IDAHO!!

Oh, and dinosaurs become a problem when people claim they never existed or existed next to man and want that taught as science. These people hear voices that tell them to go to war and kill the infidels.
