Below are some excerpts from three recent programs:
Farfur: “We are setting with you the cornerstone for world leadership under Islamic leadership. Isn’t it so, Saraa’?”
Saraa’: “Yes, our beloved children.”
Farfur: “You must be careful regarding your prayer and to go to the mosque for all five [daily] prayers. I say, in the mosque and in the first rows, until we can lead the world.”
Saraa’: “We remind you that we, the great ones, started this program to lead this world. The nucleus, with the will of Allah, will be from here, from Palestine. We will carry the concern of this [Islamic] nation that awaits us.”
Farfur: “From Palestine, oh Saraa’, what do you mean? From Gaza, Jerusalem, Ramallah, or from all of Palestine?”
Saraa’: “Yes, from all of Palestine" [i.e., includes Israel –editors].
Farfur: “If so, my beloved young ones, with the will of Allah, we will lead the nation from here, from Palestine.”
Saraa’: “Our beloved children, many say that we had glory [in the past], and we had culture, and the Muslims had greatness and respect. But with the will of Allah, we, tomorrow’s pioneers, will restore the glory of this nation.”
Farfur: “Yes, we, tomorrow’s pioneers, will restore to this nation its glory, and we will liberate Al-Aqsa, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate Iraq, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate the Muslim countries, invaded by murderers.”
Saraa’: “Yes, they are children occupied by the Jews, but with the will of Allah, we will resist and protect against the Zionist occupation.”
Farfur: “Until we win, with the will of Allah, we will resist until we win.”

Saraa’: "…We remind you that we will lead this world, and the center of the leadership, with the help of Allah, praise him, is from here, Palestine, and will burst out across the world…"
Girl: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Boy: "Doctor."
Saraa': "You see, Farfur, everyone is ambitious and wants to lead the world. You… want to lead the world, Ahmad?"
Ahmad: "Yes."
Saraa': "It's important…"
Farfur to the girl: "Fatima, you hear me? What do you say to the prisoners in the prisons of the oppressive invading Zionist occupation…?"
[Esraa' sings a song, Farfur is delighted until the words] "…we will surrender ourselves…"
Saraa': "Esraa', it's not a good song. Why?"
Esraa': "Because it has surrender."
Saraa: "We don’t surrender, we want to resist against the enemy, isn't it so, Farfur?… We want to resist against the enemy, and we don’t want to surrender."
[Farfur compares Abu Jahal, who was the most prominent enemy of Muhammad in Mecca, to Sharon]
Farfur: "Allah willing, this country, its children, its men, its women and its elderly – will win – we will win, brothers. We will win, Bush! We will win, Sharon! Ah, Sharon is dead. We will win, Mofaz. Mofaz left. We will win, Olmert, we will win Condoleezza … we will win."
Saraa': [Final words] "…I remind you that we are the ones who will carry the concerns of this [Islamic] nation, and we will lead this world, and I remind you that Al-Aqsa and the prisoners are a responsibility on our shoulders, and Allah will ask us on Resurrection Day what we gave for their sake."

The hostess explains to Farfur that one must aspire to memorize the entire Quran… "Because we want to lead the world, so [therefore] we want to memorize the [entire] Quran."
[The girl Harwa recites a song:]
"We liberated Gaza by force
From your death…
The people firmly stand
In their fire is a flame
Rafah sings "oh, oh"
Its answer is an AK-47
We who do not know fear
We are the predators of the forest."
Another child, Muhammad, reads lines from a poem:
"Oh Jerusalem, we are coming…
Oh Jerusalem, we will never surrender to the enemy,
We will never be humiliated,
It is beloved Palestine that taught us what to be
And taught us to be the soldiers of the Lord of the Worlds
We will destroy the chair of the despots, so they will taste the flame of death.
We will lead a war."

Even though I know I am, I still cast no shadow.
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."

israelis have their songs, too
i believe the palestinian government took it off the air

The Palestinian government ordered on Wednesday the shelving of a children's show on a Hamas television station in which a Mickey Mouse look-alike calls for Israel to be vanquished and Islam to "lead the world."
"I demanded that Hamas suspend the program and they have withdrawn it, because it was wrong to use a program directed at children to convey political messages," said Barghouthi, a political independent in the Hamas-led Palestinian government.
"Any media outlet that breaks Palestinian broadcasting law will be penalized by the Information Ministry," he told Reuters.

yes, some are, it happens on both sides, sadly...however in this case the palestinan government has ordered it be taken off the air

Ironic that they used a classic western cartoon to teach children to struggle against the west.
Do you think that black South Africans were brought up to look at the Apartheid whites as being kind and benevolent folk? No. Sometimes reality intervenes and paints peoples impressions in ways befitting the situation they find themselves in.

Hail, Hail!!!
Dude I am Black and I am a South african and I was raised watching white programs becuase white people controlled everything, and only allowing a minute amount of black programs on that they allowed.
KNOW YOUR FACTS!!!
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."
And this proves what exactly? How old are you? Were you old enough to experience Aparthied first hand? If so, did you grow up believing that the whites were your friends and benefactors? If you say that this was the case then I don't believe you, regardless of the fact that you may have enjoyed white t.v programs.
Edit: I find it interesting that someone who's nearest relatives were racially oppressed and victimized can take the side of the rich and powerful aggressors in the Middle East situation.
And those strong minded youth in the Israeli army are learning to love the other side right? Both are screwed up.
KNOW YOUR FACTS!!!
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."
While I find this to be absolutely dispicable, both parties in this conflict share equal responsibility for the state of affairs over there. I don't side with the Palestinian government or the Isreali government in this conflict. The only people I side with are the innocent victims, from both sides, who just want to live their normal lives in peace but are unable to.
Do you think this kind of manipulation would be possible in a country were poverty, injustice and oppressin are left to a minimum? I think palestinians, if given the opportunity, would rather work, have money and live peaceful lives than to go blow themselves up in jewish markets. But that's just me.
The problem with the middle east is the poverty. In Egypt, until last year, dictatorship ran the country and no opposing voice could be heard. Under pression (getting a democracy in the region is pression) the government had legislative elections. Guess what party came first? Radical muslims. You know why? Because the people are sick and tired of having nothing and no prospects, so they radicalize their views. Just like what happened in Palestine.
We all want this manipulation and radicalization to end, it's dangerous and sickening but until the people have no prospects and no real future most of the actions will be useless (the war in lebanon for example, the refusal to speak with the elected government in Palestine...)
The black south african government is a joke, they need to be jailed. they are a bunch of racist greedy thugs. But that's another issue.
---
I have to ask, you can't be township poor, I mean you are surf'n the net, are you one of the richer black south africans? like the ones who have the power? But I also gotta ask, what's "hotnot", the word you have in your post? Do you by any chance mean Hottentot?
----
Things about your post just don't quite sound so true. Sorry.
---
Also, if you were really old enough or educated enough, you would know that black and brown south africans bombed buildings and clubs under white rule and killed many many people. They also had reason to do it. Like the palestinians have to go after israel. A stupid show like the one in question should not take away from the injustices that are happening to them. Very similar things happened under white south african rule. as far as brainwashing and fighting went.
Now please, I'm not really attacking your post, just trying to enter into a better debate.
i would support public executions in this instance.
Throw in the Tellitubbies while you are at it.
Of course, supporting the palestinian people's plight is equal to supporting their wacky extremists. Right? One cannot support the palestinians in any way without supporting terrorism. Right?
Peace
Dan
"Every judgment teeters on the brink of error. To claim absolute knowledge is to become monstrous. Knowledge is an unending adventure at the edge of uncertainty." - Frank Herbert, Dune, 1965
I am not even going to argue about that becuase it's true.
No im not "one of the richer black south africans?" I am poor i surf the net at work, I put myself through Tech by doing shitty and hard ass labour. So once again dont jump to conclutions about me. Hotnot is short for Hottentot, same as NIg3r for negro kinda and means the same. I am not black in South Africa I am Coloured, but the rest of the world see's me as black and I came from the biggest coloured township in the world Mitchell's Plain.
Becuase you jump to conclutions
Ok you have a point , but please educate me as to when we ever used 8 year old's to become suicide bombers, if we were the same why are there still white people living very happily and rich and prospuring in SA. Please dont compare us to them, We are not murderous and abusers of children
I am not taking it as an attack, but i dont like the way you generalize, example, just becuase I surf the net that makes me rich.
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."
Why not? Do you believe everything you were taught as a child? Most people, given the chance, grow out of childish preconceptional influences.

Q: preconceptional? there's no such word.
A: at first i used "preconceptual".

I am sure that, given the chance, most people would like to live peaceful and prosper lives. Poverty and undereducation makes it easier to manipulate desesperation and have terror.
In your earlier post you stated that you were black. but only when you wanted to make a point, It was obvious from your post you were not, I was right. don't ask me how I knew, I just could tell. I know SA very very well.
Also, anyone person of color from SA who supports Israel needs to take a history lesson, where do you think SA got many of it's weapons? Israel! It was israel that helped keep apartheid alive.
They even gave SA nuke technology!
You support Israel? You are nothing but a sell out.
Ditto!
You know SA very very well, Well instead of learning about it or watching stuff over on you tv in the great ol US of A I actually have lived here for all my life. Sell out you dont know shit, you dont know how I live my life you have no idea of what I and my family have been thru, So dont jump to you own ideas about me.
Has my country ever nuked anyone infact has any country besides the Great US of A nuked anyone.
And as I stated and I 'll state again "I am not black in South Africa I am Coloured, but the rest of the world see's me as black" I did not say i was black to make a point how many people on this board will understand what I say when i refer to myself as coloured.
Oh and by the way to mess with your mind some more, I am infact a christian. So why dont you jump to conclutions about that.
You talk the big talk, tell me where you or your family ever in the situation where they could be easily killed for the colour of there skin, if not THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP, and go and read more books about the subject. While I live it.
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."
You know what is so funny most of you guys talk the talk, and know all the facts, and can spew out dates, stats and numbers about wolrd events, but infact you dont really know much, it takes more than reading or even studying about a subject to understand it, and it must really annoy the shit out of you that you were never involved in any great world event good or bad, so go and impress your coffee drinking european wannabe friends with you great knowledge, and what books and music you listen too, and your unmoveable ideology and let the rest of us live our own lives.
Maak hulle oe oop en seen die lig.
"We'd rather challenge our fans and make them listen to our songs than give them something that's easy to digest. There is a lot of music out there that is very easy to digest but we never wanted to be part of it."
And what exactly is your point?
Are you saying that the fact that you live in South Africa automatically makes you an expert on world affairs?
If this comment were in fact true, then why did you create a thread about the Middle East situation, when you can't - according to your own particular brand of logic - know anything about the subject?
So I obviously know nothing about the world.
So have a great time living in SA telling everyone how much they suck because they don't think like you.
OBVIOUSLY I'M THE ONE WITH THE UNMOVEABLE IDEOLOGY!
