i like the ability to work hard and get ahead without restriction. i like being able to take a dream and make it reality. i like my right to carry a gun to protect myself from those who use a gun to attack me. i like how it's still basically still the 1880's in vast parts of the west where world events (except global warming) have no effect on us. i like the desert sky at night. i like the peace of the open range.

Kanye made a comment. Bush made it clear. Actions speak louder than words, after all.

Very cool thread! We should have threads that focus on the positives of a country more often.

Let's see.............I love the cultural diversity of the US. I love the fact that I can visit any number of US cities and get a different cultural experience. In the US you can take 'nothing' and turn it into something quite amazing.

I also love the diversity of the landscapes, from the 'emerald coast' of the gulf coast to the Rocky Mountains to the 'badlands' of the Dakotas. We have the beauty of Alaska & Hawaii. I could go on and on. I also have to throw in NYC, I love NYC and, because I'm bias, the beauty of the Ozarks.

Edit to add New Orleans! I love New Orleans!!!

I know. But, hey, bits, parts, doesn't matter. They're both double entendres.

Mayhaps I just have a dirty mind.
