It's way too early in the morning for this shit you lot!! :D

I was only trying to say that I like New Orleans!!

As to "bits", yeah well they have a leud connotation here too, but usually with "pink" or "dangly" in front of it. :D

AND as for WANG I guess when you say Peninsula like that what you really mean to say is "Map of Tassie"!! ;)

Now if there's ANY other Aussies on here right now I'd appreciate some support!! And by the looks of it protection!! :D

Why do Americans need to keep reassuring themselves about themselves? Seems a bit odd to me.

Is that like saying I want to thank Canada for the war of 1812 so I can speak the way I do with all the freedoms that America didn't give me. WTF, in a nice way.

East Warrington in Pitt. for opening my eyes really, really wide.
Grand Canyon and the endangered Condor that I got a pic of in the fog.
The big crater that is in Arizona, with the little spaceman at the center.
The beautiful blue skies and landscapes of New Mexico.
The suntan session at the old stadium in Phoenix - Cards vs N.orl.
All the memories of John Elway. On t.v. and especially live at the stadiums that I got to visit.
You've changed your place in this world!

My sheriffs badge from Butte Montana.
All the black and white photos from NYC.
Seeing gas pumps actually chained up and covered in the state of Washington back in the day.
All the Penguin playoff hockey games as a substitute for outrageously priced Leaf games. Go Pens Go! And with Crosby and Co. I can't see the playoff tix coming easy anymore. Good on Pitt. Just get a new stadium. Speaking of Pitt. All the Steeler games that we went to too. And the Bus for waving at us after that interview.
The fact we couldn't find anything open on your Thanksgiving whilst driving from Detroit to Indy for more football. That is the way to celebrate a holiday.
You've changed your place in this world!

I didn't know god was american. Come to think of it, it might explain a few things.

My last visit to the US only covered southern california, but some of the highlights were:

    Death Valley
the Sierra Nevadas (The mountains, not the beer. That stuff was terrible)
    squirels
    chipmunks
    rattlesnakes
    coyotes
Being able to stand in the middle of the blazing desert and see snow-covered mountains in the distance.
    The desert in general

Random acts of friendliness from strangers who usually couldn't understand what I was saying

    Mexican food

    General weirdness on Venice beach

The pub across the road from the sports ground at UCR. They made great pizza.

Other stuff that I like includes

The ability of americans to make fun of themselves

    eg Southpark, The Simpsons, Futurama

The sheer complexity of the place. Such a diversity of people, lifestyles, cultures, politics, landscapes. I don't think I could ever understand it.

Edit: I forgot the kelp forests! The La Jolla and Catalina kelp forests provided some of the best diving I've ever done anywhere.
It doesn't matter if you're male, female, or confused; black, white, brown, red, green, yellow; gay, lesbian; redneck cop, stoned; ugly; military style, doggy style; fat, rich or poor; vegetarian or cannibal; bum, hippie, virgin; famous or drunk-you're either an asshole or you're not!
