WTF are you talking about? The crime scene was compromised, there was very little evidence left behind, except a couple of fibres from a bathrobe.
Crimlibrary.com documents all the murder cases in history with very complete information and updates on the cases.

Depends on which sub-culture you asked at the time.
Sure, probably everyone thought he was guilty. This little byte describes the justice system quite nicely...
Once the arrests were made the adversarial legal system, which sets two opposing sides against each other in a quest to win rather than reveal the truth, worked to reinforce the view of the crime as perceived by the police in the first instance. It was the defense team’s job to refute their case and cast doubt in the minds of the jury. Whichever side could tell the best story would win.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. I have seen both documentaries, Paradise Lost and Paradise Lost: Relevations. To me, by reading the case files and the timeline and watching these documentaries, I drew on the conclusion that these boys are innocent. There is NO evidence suggesting that they did this horrible crime. People pinned them b/c they listened to heavy metal, wore black and in Damien's case, was a Wiccan. People in the South, especially in West Memphis, pinned it on the boys just b/c they were different from everyone else. They were the outsiders.
It is sicken and horrible what happened to the little boys, I mean, anyone who could do that is one sick fuck! But also to pin it on 3 teens that there was NO evidence that they were there is wrong.
And what about the stepfather? christopher byer's stepfather. He is quite a character 'acting' for the camera. Giving the knife (w/blood on it) to the filmmakers on the first documentary and then him giving excuses about what happened to his teeth (he wears dentures) from getting into a fight to his teeth falling b/c he has some kind of disease. Kind of odd behavior too he exhibit and the mystery over his wife's death too. I don't know, it is kind of fishy what happened to her.ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~

I have similiar feelings about the case...especially that Byers guy! What a freak! However, I accept the fact that there is a possibility that the wm3 are actually guilty. The thing I don't accept is how the trial was conducted and the "evidence" that they put these boys away with. I think it's more about standing up for the justice system and the belief that you have to be proven guilty without a reasonable doubt (which they weren't!) This kind of justice shouldn't be allowed to happen in this country and these boys should be let out.“May you live to be 100 and may the last voice you hear be mine.” - Frank Sinatra0 -
This is one of those cases that could drive a person crazy. The system up there (not their or they're, btw), definitely failed.
Just a little something extra btw:
Their, There, or They're?
Their is a possessive pronoun. It always describes a noun.
Note the spelling of their. It comes from the word they, so the e comes before the i.
There is an adverb meaning "that location." It is sometimes used with the verb to be as an idiom. It is spelled like here which means "this location."
They're is a contraction of they are. Note the spelling: The a from are is replaced by an apostrophe.
Examples: Their dog has fleas. (possessive of they)
I put the collar right there. (that location)
There are five prime numbers less than ten.
(with to be)
They're 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7. (contraction of they are)Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -

Does anyone "Believe"? Where are you going with this question?
I have heard of the common belief that a murderer/ serial killer might have been more prone to torture animals in his/her childhood, but I never put much stock in that theory. Almost ever young boy I knew growing up could probably be accused of torturing an animal to some degree.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -

I do not think I'm going where you think I am. I stand by the question. The only people we should try to get even with...

I really have no thoughts or ideas on where you were going on this. I only ask because you use the phrase "does anyone believe". I just thought that wording was odd because it would seem that this would ask if anyone just came to some weird conclusion without any evidence or support.
I dont believe he tortured animals. I have read a lot into the case, and never seen any info on it either.
My repsonse earlier was just to make a point that I dont think this has any correlation to the crimes that were committed.

I had read that it was "alleged" that he did. There was also something about him beating a dog to death. What I read didn't seem to be substantiated, but I really haven't delved very deep into the case. The only people we should try to get even with...
