So far I haven't witnessed any US celebrations occuring when we kill anyone in Iraq. There is a difference there....those people are sick and apparently have never formed the concept of love your enemies (Bible) in their culture.
On Bush, he was pretty emotional around 9/11 one day in the Oval office with reporters. Very choked up. Whatever you want to say about him, he does care about American's and American families. He probably cares about Iraqis too, but has a hard time showing it
Actually I think most of his decisions are made in the vision that he is helping further freedom for people, and knows that some people will die in the process. I remember the day america started it's bombings in afghanistan, it was announced on a loud speaker during a football game (NFL game I think it was), 60.000 people (or whatever many fit in a those stadiums) cheered.
That's right, imagine that, all those civilized american people started cheering the start of america bombing another country.
also I've seen many clips of american soldiers cheering "shock and awe", most of them watching it like a football game. the bigger the explosion, the louder the cheer.0 -

Afghanistan = Taliban and that also meant Bin Laden. That was pent up energy really focused on a terrorist regime that was directly tied to 911, one event. It wasn't about civilians or hoping to kill wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, etc like the 911 celebrations. Justify it all you want, but we weren't having rallies to destroy Afghan before 911, and not after as well. It was a show of our support for our people and our country DEFENDING itself against radicals who I seriously think you wouldn't have wanted to live next door to you. Your desire to equate them is false; but you are welcome to join them if you wish. There you can learn how to cut open someones throat by using a camel or a goat with a pocket knife, then maybe you will understand.
Shock and awe was targeting Sadam, I never heard of anyone cheering that first night, but maybe my friends are more educated than yoursActually, I had a bad feeling when we sent those first bombs into Iraq, but was hopeful we would take Sadam out early and it would be over.
