Wreath Laying by Bush at WTC grounds

I have to say that after Bush laid the second wreath and then seemed to pray or reflect with his head down, when his face came back up, he truly looked deeply saddened.
To me, he wears his feelings on his sleeve. He is quite easy to read and that is what I saw.
Maybe he's human after all. Maybe he feels guilt.
All I know is that is what I saw. Any of you notice it?

I did'nt see it but I think he may of been remembering "my pet goat" during the wreat laying and that's what brought his emotions out.

Serioulsy, I think Bush is very sincere, I mean the man thinks God speaks to him and tells him to invade countries! now that's passion. I don't argue about Bush being a human, all I say is that he's a stupid human.

Agreed that he is stupid, but I think that is the first time I actually saw him saddened.

  • How could you NOT be sad? Even Dubbaya? You'd have to be seriously a sick, sick person to not feel something today.

I was just being sarcastic because you called the president emotional and that's an attribute put upon the female gender (and one reason some people list as to why we shouldn't have a female president).

I don't believe something like that is a gender thing, but sadly many do.

How can anyone who calls themself an 'American' not feel a sense of anguish and loss standing at that site? I don't like the decisions Bush has made and the road he has lead us down.... but, I do recognize the fact that he is human.

I believe that was true on September 12, 2001... people worldwide may have felt, "America can be assholes at times... but, no one deserves this shit"... but, in today's climate it might be, "You guys are dicks... no wonder they did this shit."
Also... there were some humans dancing in the streets on that Tuesday.

are you talking about the dancing mossad agents in new york video taping the event or the kids in palestine seeing america perhaps getting a taste of it's own medicine so they started to celebrate?

Yeah... I'm sure there were a few other celebrations going on in that part of the world. And I can now, understand the level of hatred for us... I do not condone that action of find any rationale or justification for the attacks... But, I at least understand that we are responsible for some real fucking bullshit in their part of the world. We need to just buy their fucking oil and say, 'Gracias' and quit meddling in their domestic affairs that favors selling us X amount of barrels at Y dollars per barrel.
I just want to point out that it was an American tragedy, not a human tragedy. We may believe we are the center of the world, but we are not.

Let's see the video of the mossad agents.

I can easily show you the Palestinians' disgusting dance of death. It wasn't just kids, it was people of all ages, handing out candies. Truly sick, as usual.

I'm sorry, I don;t have a video of them dancing. but here is some info on the story,
    (abc news)

U.S. officials spent months investigating five Israelis to determine whether they were working in America as spies for Israel. (ABCNEWS.com) The White Van
Were Israelis Detained on Sept. 11 Spies?

June 21 — Millions saw the horrific images of the World Trade Center attacks, and those who saw them won't forget them. But a New Jersey homemaker saw something that morning that prompted an investigation into five young Israelis and their possible connection to Israeli intelligence.

Maria, who asked us not to use her last name, had a view of the World Trade Center from her New Jersey apartment building. She remembers a neighbor calling her shortly after the first plane hit the towers.
She grabbed her binoculars and watched the destruction unfolding in lower Manhattan. But as she watched the disaster, something else caught her eye.

Maria says she saw three young men kneeling on the roof of a white van in the parking lot of her apartment building. "They seemed to be taking a movie," Maria said.

The men were taking video or photos of themselves with the World Trade Center burning in the background, she said. What struck Maria were the expressions on the men's faces. "They were like happy, you know … They didn't look shocked to me. I thought it was very strange," she said.

She found the behavior so suspicious that she wrote down the license plate number of the van and called the police. Before long, the FBI was also on the scene, and a statewide bulletin was issued on the van.

The plate number was traced to a van owned by a company called Urban Moving. Around 4 p.m. on Sept. 11, the van was spotted on a service road off Route 3, near New Jersey's Giants Stadium. A police officer pulled the van over, finding five men, between 22 and 27 years old, in the vehicle. The men were taken out of the van at gunpoint and handcuffed by police.

The arresting officers said they saw a lot that aroused their suspicion about the men. One of the passengers had $4,700 in cash hidden in his sock. Another was carrying two foreign passports. A box cutter was found in the van. But perhaps the biggest surprise for the officers came when the five men identified themselves as Israeli citizens.

    ‘We Are Not Your Problem’

According to the police report, one of the passengers told the officers they had been on the West Side Highway in Manhattan "during the incident" — referring to the World Trade Center attack. The driver of the van, Sivan Kurzberg, told the officers, "We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem." The other passengers were his brother Paul Kurzberg, Yaron Shmuel, Oded Ellner and Omer Marmari.

When the men were transferred to jail, the case was transferred out of the FBI's Criminal Division, and into the bureau's Foreign Counterintelligence Section, which is responsible for espionage cases, ABCNEWS has learned.

One reason for the shift, sources told ABCNEWS, was that the FBI believed Urban Moving may have been providing cover for an Israeli intelligence operation.

After the five men were arrested, the FBI got a warrant and searched Urban Moving's Weehawken, N.J., offices.

The FBI searched Urban Moving's offices for several hours, removing boxes of documents and a dozen computer hard drives. The FBI also questioned Urban Moving's owner. His attorney insists that his client answered all of the FBI's questions. But when FBI agents tried to interview him again a few days later, he was gone.

Three months later 2020's cameras photographed the inside of Urban Moving, and it looked as if the business had been shut down in a big hurry. Cell phones were lying around; office phones were still connected; and the property of dozens of clients remained in the warehouse.

The owner had also cleared out of his New Jersey home, put it up for sale and returned with his family to Israel.

The five Israelis were held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, ostensibly for overstaying their tourist visas and working in the United States illegally. Two weeks after their arrest, an immigration judge ordered them to be deported. But sources told ABCNEWS that FBI and CIA officials in Washington put a hold on the case.

Now I'd really like to see that video they took, would'nt you?

So far I haven't witnessed any US celebrations occuring when we kill anyone in Iraq. There is a difference there....those people are sick and apparently have never formed the concept of love your enemies (Bible) in their culture.

On Bush, he was pretty emotional around 9/11 one day in the Oval office with reporters. Very choked up. Whatever you want to say about him, he does care about American's and American families. He probably cares about Iraqis too, but has a hard time showing it :)

Actually I think most of his decisions are made in the vision that he is helping further freedom for people, and knows that some people will die in the process. Rightly or wrongly.

    .

I remember the day america started it's bombings in afghanistan, it was announced on a loud speaker during a football game (NFL game I think it was), 60.000 people (or whatever many fit in a those stadiums) cheered.

That's right, imagine that, all those civilized american people started cheering the start of america bombing another country.

also I've seen many clips of american soldiers cheering "shock and awe", most of them watching it like a football game. the bigger the explosion, the louder the cheer.

Afghanistan = Taliban and that also meant Bin Laden. That was pent up energy really focused on a terrorist regime that was directly tied to 911, one event. It wasn't about civilians or hoping to kill wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, etc like the 911 celebrations. Justify it all you want, but we weren't having rallies to destroy Afghan before 911, and not after as well. It was a show of our support for our people and our country DEFENDING itself against radicals who I seriously think you wouldn't have wanted to live next door to you. Your desire to equate them is false; but you are welcome to join them if you wish. There you can learn how to cut open someones throat by using a camel or a goat with a pocket knife, then maybe you will understand.

Shock and awe was targeting Sadam, I never heard of anyone cheering that first night, but maybe my friends are more educated than yours :) Actually, I had a bad feeling when we sent those first bombs into Iraq, but was hopeful we would take Sadam out early and it would be over.
