We need to rally the base. We need a strong conservative like Kean in office.

I'll be voting for Kean. Of course my district really doesn't have the strongest Republican base - I mean Andrews runs unopposed for the House every election, but I'll do my part.

You want a true fiscal conservative in New Jersey then don't vote for Kean or Menedez. Vote for Len Flynn. Kean is the same shit sack as Menendez and will do nothing to improve the state of New Jersey. If you really want change in this state we need to stay clear of people like Kean and Menendez.

Nope, I only vote in New Jersey. It makes more sense than being registered in and voting in the Democratic Monarchy that is Philadelphia.

yea theres absolutely no way Rendell will lose to lynn swann.

But i predict Santorum race will be closer than most liberals expect it to be.

Rendell has no shot to lose to Swann.

I think Santorum will be about a 5-7 point loss. Like many people said, he lost the election 2 years ago when it was the whole sending his kids to school in Virginia with PA tax money scandal was discovered. That said Casey is an unbelievably poor candidate and his nickname as Santorum lite may not inspire a huge voter turnout so maybe the election will be even closer than that.

If you dont vote- you should be fined like they do in Australia.

I think it was Lewis Black who said it best- so many morons preach about freeing Iraq and giving it democracy when over half of Americans dont even fucking vote.

I agree with you, but in a sense can you really blame people. Most people are completely turned off by the political climate in this country. They are sick and tired of the Republicans. They are sick and tired of the Democrats. Most 3rd party candidates are not even recognizable because they receive zero coverage. Perfect exxample my parents where not even planning on voting because they don't like Menendez or Kean. I brought 3rd party candidates to their attention and now they are voting for the Libertarian candidate, Len Flynn. Some how some way we as voters need to get 3rd party candidates noticed because the 2 party system is broken. The Republicans have failed us and the Democrats will fails us just the same. Untill people have faith in the people they elect and faith in the system voter turn out will be non-existant.

I moved my comment to the "Vote on Tuesday" thread but I agree. I would love to see a run-off type system. Anyone can run- top two in the initial vote get to debate with another vote a week later.

I guess Prescott Bush was a "Hitler socialist" then. I guess the Bush family just loves to profit off of others' death and misery.
  • Why does the GOP always talk about rallying the base? Is their base too dumb to figure out when to vote? Just asking.

This is the funniest shit I have seen in a long time. Brother here is a tip crack open a history book every once in awhile. You may find some really interesting facts, including that Hitler was a facist. I know they rhyme so you may have some difficulty differentiating the two but trust me facism and socialism are not the samething.
