a system that will succeed will put people, species, and nature first-foremost...

indigenous tribes have known socialism/communalism and look what we do to them..we di-sect them and annihilate culture.

if we look at this in a sense, and history...all indigenous tribes were nations under god, Spirit, divine or just the plain ol' sun....

in Conversations with God and many new sorts of training, I have been reading and learning that giving support is key for success...supporting does not mean transforming, it means to find good...

if everyone would stand back and let your hearts lead you, you would become part of a great movement that can and will overcome some of our past mistakes.

    peace.

I honestly believe thats nice and all....but reality dictates otherwise. I would love to count on the good will of people, but greed and selfish behavior can still be found in the small indigenous tribes you speak of. Native Americans where slaughtering each other for thousands of years before the Europeans showed up with modern weapons and disease Your complaint has more to do with the side that uses advanced methods of taking resources to their advantage, not good vs bad. Give any of these small peaceful tribes the knowledge and resources, and Europeans would be the conquered ones. Have you ever read "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond? It gets a little dry at some points but its a great read as to why some cultures conquer and other become the conquered.

"a system that will succeed will put people, species, and nature first-foremost..."

The problem with that is everything on this planet is designed to put itself first, thats how things survive. Now I'm not saying Darwinism is the way to go with our culture, but we are only animals with some sort of order to keep it together. How many days would it take you with out food, shelter, and water before you do something drastic to stay alive?

Why is there war, famine, disease, greed and injustice in the world? Its part of who we are, and while we can do the best we can to fight it, it will always be apart of our reality. I guess there has to be some sort of balance.

But to get to my point....you can't change people, won't happen....and I don't trust people to do right by me and America, or the world for that matter.

That guy sounds like some of the folks that I work with. One guy tried to tell us that Obama would get sworn in on the Koran, and when we laughed at him, and disputed his claim, he looked at us as if we were going to kick his dog in the nuts. He then went on to say that he didn't care and that he would never vote. After all that he went home and fucked his sister, folks in the South are so damn ignorant.

Why do the people that 'don't care' and 'would never vote', act like they do care? Doesn't make sense to me.
