  • Yet you want single payer medical benefit system for all just in case....

Don't be so scared about becoming hurt or sick ;) Wait...are you just preparing for the worst while still hoping for and working towards the best?

People get sick all the time and the poor shouldn't have to suffer or die because of it.

  • One person's "fears, insecurities, and distrust" is another person's "planning, diligence, and preparedness? ;)

Anyhow, it all about how you use your resources. But ensuring you have resources available is a good idea. They should never be used lightly...as has been proven.

You building a bunker? You know, just in case...

  • If someone breaks into your house, and you yell, "Stop! I don't have a gun!" -- that's not quite as effective as "Stop or I'll shoot."

That's the one thing Reagan (and, apparently, Metalllica) understood: To secure peace is to prepare for war.

The United State needs a large and strong military, now more than ever. Not to use that force all over the world, but in hopes of never having to use that force.
I see your point, but the analogies don't quite match. It's more like if you were constantly calling someone in their own house, saying "If you come over here, I'll shoot you in the face."
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

I find my neighbors to be quite annoying. So I can certainly relate to that particular analogy, too.

Yeah, I don't buy into fear. Those that do are usually not the most peaceful types, I've found.

    There's fear.
    And there's accepting reality.

I suppose there might be a fine line between the two.

As a wise man once wrote, in a song a bunch of people seem to hate, "worry can be strength, with a plan."

Nice. ;) Not exactly the best way to keep the neighbourhood peaceful though, is it?

Obama agrees with you. That's why he wants Health Care access to all who don't have it through there employers.

That way I don't have to give up my health care coverage that allows for quick scheduling with low copays.

UHC is not the answer imo but all Americans should have access to health care which is what he proposes.

I don't want to give up my program that allowed for me to get an MRI scheduled and performed and reviewed by my doctor in under a week.

That will not happen with UHC.

I see nothing wrong with encouraging people to go into the military.

Not something I would do, but I know many people who have benefited from it.

What good is it if people can't afford it?

I don't see a problem with giving up some of my conveniences so that other's don't have to go without or be denied treatment.

    By living life.

I suppose you think those who are living in fear and feel threatened with their backs against the wall are really the peaceful types, then. But the ones who aren't suspicious, use trust and good will are the one's fucking it all up for the rest of us...right?
