I think the 28% pretty much balances out the 1/2 of the far right who wouldn't vote for a "liberal senator" like John McCain0 -

So you are assuming that the Republicans can rally around someone totally against most of their beliefs, but Democrats can't rally around someone who shares virtually the same ideals as the other candidate?0 -

you may very well be right. there are some on the right that will not vote for "liberal mccain". but that number is no where near as close to what it's like on the left. IMO.0 -

I don't know ... because in THIS ELECTION the Republican candidate is practically a Democrat?
While you guys are busy calling him "McBush" -- ha ha! -- McCain is probably the most palatable candidate, to independents and moderate Democrats, that the Repubs have ever won.
If I backed Hillary, and Obama won, I would definitely give a look at McCain at least. I can see why people would do that.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -

But that gets in the way of them pushing their 'fear' vote agenda. We can't have that. They need to make it seem that every republican is GW and we must all shiver and tremble at the thought of them.If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

What are the main differences to you?
Obama has also made strong statements regarding Iran, Pakistan, Palestine etc...

Polls are interesting to gauge how people feel at certain moments. But there is far too much time in this situation for that number to stay that high.9/28/05 PNC Park Pittsburgh- 6/23/06 Mellon Arena Pittsburgh- 8/02/07 The Vic- 8/05/07- Lollapalooza 6/22/08 DC0
