whatever... if it makes me feel best, or it's ingrained by my community... doesn't mean i can't reason.

if it makes sense to you well good for you... but you can't explain it. just like my own beliefs... they make sense in a lot of ways but i'm not wasting my time trying to explain it you because it's impossible.

oh and actually it makes more sense to think that everything came from something then rather thinking that everything came from nothing.

I said "Despite your ability to reason"

How about everything didn't come. Because you are looking at infinite regression. If the universe came from God, where did God come from? She couldn't have come from nothing by your reasoning. So who or what created God?

hahahaha wow... you never stop do you? it's like... "you're wrong! there is no God! and that's the end of it!"

come on dude... we're talking about God here.... what is beginning for man? what is it to God? he is a Spirit. it's beyond our logics here man... and trying to rationalize God here with logics is very humorous.

God cannot be accounted for like say an entire planet, an entire galaxy, or save the universe. God isn't something tangible. there is a text that Paul says that "the things unseen have no ending." thus, having no beginning. i've heard your argument before and i feel it's probably the lamest of them all. infinite regression... whatever... God doesn't subject himself to the laws of everything coming from something. how does that work? i have no idea.

and also if you apply the laws of thermodynamics to the universe... it's like answering your own question here. if the universe can exist without a creator... then mustn't there be a way that the creator can exist without another creator?

Well it's very convenient that your beliefs cannot be made sensical, isn't it?

I'm sure it's impossible to understand Ahura Mazda as well. Why? because Zarathustra says so.

Sure, but there is no need for a creator. The argument is, "God exists because everything can't come from nothing." but thermodynamics in a way debunks that assertion. If we say thermodynamics is true, the universe is self-necessary, then there is no need for God. If we say it's false, then we can only speculate about it's "Creation" and what created the creator.

ok... then... since we have thermodynamics then there is no need to question if God had a creator. i can live with that.

i don't know who zarathustra is

zarathustra was the prophet of ahura Mazda. The "uncreated creator of all things" predates Christ by a long time.

i feel sorry for him too but we need him. we need more people like him to fulfill scriptures. his kind was predicted in the bible. so while i feel sorry for him; i am grateful he has proven yet another prophecy from the bible.

    Rapture - jill Sobule

What if I am wrong and what if you're right?
What if there is an intelligent design?
When the day comes and judgment begins Will I be left behind?

What if I'm right and you're not correct
And there's no hell fire when we are dead?
Regretting all the boys you could of kissed...
All for nothing, it wasn't a sin.

You were busy getting ready for the rapture!!!
For the rapture!!! For the rapture!!!
You were busy getting ready for the rapture, warning us all.

What if I've been a really nice gal, followed the golden rule but now,
because I don't believe in your best pal,
    you say I'll burn forever?

So let's say that He's real, but not like you sell...
He's more like the nice hippie in 'Godspell'.
Well, I'd think that He was swell. Would that bum you out?

You were busy getting ready for the rapture!!!

    Not to mention, Voltaire's predictions

"Everything happens through immutable laws, ...everything is necessary... There are, some persons say, some events which are necessary and others which are not. It would be very comic that one part of the world was arranged, and the other were not; that one part of what happens had to happen and that another part of what happens did not have to happen. If one looks closely at it, one sees that the doctrine contrary to that of destiny is absurd; but there are many people destined to reason badly; others not to reason at all others to persecute those who reason." - Voltaire

hey, just so you know, deadnothingbetter is taken from three songs of pearl jam that have the word man in it. deadman, nothing man, and better man.... it holds no meaning other than that.

but yeah, i'm sure you're satisfied...

    This is kinda laughable.

Of course the writers of the bible are gonna predict there will be people who won't believe it. Then they can act like they are so on the money because the obvious happens. 'See what I tell you! Some people aren't buying this...just like we said! Can't you see how we are right and you should belive everything we say now.'
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

that's a nice spin on it if it helps you sleep at night. but since there were many more non-believers back then; how do you justify that. i don't recall any predictions where it says people will believe; then stop.

People do many things out of fear....like following religious doctrine that doesn't make sense, contradicts itself and condemns so many.

There were non-believers before the believers killed them.

And there always has been more non-believers in Christianity than there has been believers.
