How much do you spend on food in a week?

Oh man I am a human garbage disposal. My weekly food bill hovers around the $150 mark on any given week.
The other day I read a story about a woman who feeds her family of 4 on $100 a week using coupons and shopping at discount food stores.
Holy shit! A $100/week for a family of four. It just makes me feel like an over-indulgant pig. It really does.

I'm saying that some people do feed their entire families on 2/3 of what I spend just for myself. Whether they must or they must not is not really for me to say.

But then again, I only have my roommate and me to feed.

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

i would be interested in what types of food this woman actually purchased. i wonder if it included tons of over-processed foods made in who knows where. i am more interested in supporting local growers than buying crap food.
We have not gone in about a month. WTF...

I'm a single guy, I love to cook, and I usually go to the store almost every day to buy something for the day (usually dinner). I easily spend $150 a week on food, and groceries. It's like an addiction...I can't stop! LOL
We shop at out local supermarket and some items at BJ's
Your food bill seems a little for being just you but I guess if you can afford it, it' ok right?

But things in the city are just expensive, so it's hard to save. I also try to buy mostly natural or Organic foods.
And that shit ain't cheap.

If you count eating out, add another $20 (3 or 4 times a week)
If you count going out drinking alcohol, add another $40 to $50 a week. (going out twice)
If I didn't like to go out drinking a few times a week, I could save a lot, but what fun would that be? ..I guess I spend about $100 a week in total consumption, but the alcohol half of that gets budgeted into entertainment rather than food when I figure my budget.

10 lbs chicken quarters

I think that was pretty much it. $158 and change
Drop the TP and use the two Sunday papers during the week.
Two sunday papers? Why need more than 1?

Luckily UGA has a "collegiate readership" program so I can get the University newspaper, a USA Today, and a New York Times everyday for free.

No. That would be too scratchy. Plus it might leave ink on my butt.
I read a local and the Chicago Tribune.
It varies from a week to another though. Depending on where we buy stuff, sometimes we spend 75-100 € for a week, sometimes, it 's more around 150 €.
