    I think people of extreme (and regular) privilege can do some serious mental gymnastics to convince themselves that "I earned it!"  He may have spent decades telling himself this and then be legitimately upset when others take advantage (usually to a lesser extent) in ways he can, too.

    I dunno. There has to be some decompartmentalization with all these people. Don Jr. is probably similar to his father, who thinks he's self-made when he really inherited a boatload of money (and connections) from his father.
