When I worked for an enzyme company based in Denmark they had no problem taking their 6 week summer holidays/semi weekly bank holidays while only giving new hires in America 2 weeks vacation. So basically they were a contributor to the negative statistics regarding work life balance, etc because if you were not Danish they treated you like shit. They also only allowed Danes to get promoted to a certain level so there was a nepotism there that was disgusting. That is a fact. Also, when their residents would ex pat to US the first thing they would do is buy a Suburban ( because tax on a vehicle in Denmark is 100%. That is right....100% so they could not afford a vehicle there) and a big house with a yard and beg not to go back to Denmark because of the quality of life being so nice in the RDU area compared to Copenhagen.
