  • It's one thing to not give someone press coverage because they are not as popular, however, it's entirely another thing to completely omit, skew results, and toss around childish innuendo's about the guy on purpose.

Fux news is hopelessly notorious for doing this. It's 100% undeniable.

    You mean like this crap?
People you need to be MAD about this shit
not making fun of a candidate.
    don't be stupid.
    FUCK YOU, FRANK!
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

That Luntz SC focus group thing was so staged and rehearsed. OMG what a total con job. They undoubtedly did dry run rehearsals(sss) right down to who raises their hands, and for what questions, and who says specifically what (also scripted), and in what order.

The sad part is I bet a lot of people probably actually bought it.

    Heinous...

"Fux news....tabloid grade media for tube suckers."

    Hey DriftingByTheStorm,

2 years from now, you will look back on these posts and wonder WTF you were thinking. Believe me, I often cringe when I go back and read my posts from 2 years ago (or more), and sometimes even from 1 year ago. It's great that you are passionate, but there is such a thing as too passionate, and it's never a good thing to let your passions override your reason. But never let your passions die.

But Ron Paul is not going to be President and 2nd place in Nevada is not a big deal. He got 6,000 votes in a state with 2.5 million people.

I have to say the voting power of Mormons is quite amusing. But that's what happens when most people don't give a shit, and the Mormons go out in full force. But so far Romney's only won two states with a lot of Mormons (Wyoming, Nevada) and the state he grew up in (Michigan). He won't win many more, but if he keeps getting 2nd or 3rd, I dunno... he may pull it off. I'm a little amazed he's done as well as he has.
  • Or perhaps the complete opposite will take place...

    coin....flip...whee..

    You're right,
in 2 years when we are knee deep in the thick of the same old shit that the last guy brought on ... and now the new boss ... the same as the old boss ... is stuffing you full of more of the same ... yEAH ... I WILL CRINGE!

I am not going to wonder wtf i was thinking, or feel stupid for writing it.

I am betting money a good few on here will feel REAL STUPID for not voting for the man ...

but that being said, your talking to someone here who REFUSED to take GodPT3 up on his silly little bet ("if RP gets more than 10% of the vote in any state...") because i didn't think the media circus we called an election would allow him that opportunity.

The process has proved me wrong, and THAT is why i posted.

I have no pretensions that Ron Paul has enough MEDIA BACKING to become our president ... although i do think if things go to hel in a hand basket in the next few weeks, and if this whole thing with Ron having a billionaire backer is true ... that some highly targeted and continuously playing advertisements could give him a fighting chance ...

and i would have counted on you to not be so much of a Debbie Downer on the freedom and liberty message, Kenny.

Glad to see that apathy and despair have finaly coated your heart black,, and turned you in to a hope-burn-out.
    :(

    coated my heart black. :D

hey, i'm not saying you should cave in and vote for someone who has a chance to win, if you don't think that person is principled. i'm voting for Mike Gravel after all, and i never thought he had a chance.

but it would take some pretty bizarre twists of fate to reverse the trend i'm seeing, with Paul getting mostly single digits. i think the politically aware already know who he is and what he's about, and the politically unaware aren't going to suddenly going to get jazzed about him in the next few weeks before Super Duper Ultra Strength Tuesday.

Ron Paul has made some great statements at some of these debates and stood up very well against McCain, Giuliani, Huckabee, etc --- hopefully he'll spark a fire in some minds like Nader did to mine in 2000, but I think that's the only accomplishment one can hope for.
  • The inside word is that Ron Paul may have just FLAT OUT WON LOUISIANA!

So proud of my home state, if this is true!
    :D

Here is the sketchy chain of hearsay:
Someone on the RP board left his precinct, but was yelled at by his friend who was working there. He was then told that not only was Ron winning the precinct with 60% of the count done, but from what his friend knew (since he was working at the precinct) Ron was winning ALL of the precincts.

Now i find this hard to believe, and to swallow, but LA was outright ignored by all the candidates ... and among other things, Ron Paul has been vocal down there about wanting to ABOLISH FEMA ... which, believe you me, GOES OVER REAL WELL DOWN THERE!

    :D

This will be MAD DELEGATES for Ron at the convention if it its true, and if the convention is brokered ... AND if Ron can in 5 more states (needed to be in the running at a brokered convention, from what i understand) ...

    Anyhow.

    Just a heads up.
Godpt3 ... you may want to get a headstart on licking all those donkey balls, and sucking on the camel titties.

    ???

Primary is not until Feb. 9th. Am I wrong on that?

    NO.
    You're right.

Louisiana runs a Caucaus AND a primary.

Ron Paul is on track to win the delegates at caucaus.

If no one candidate can get more than 50% of the vote in the primary, all those delegates can vote for Ron Paul ... and since most of them are Ron Paul supporters, who you think they gonna vote for?

    :D

  • ron paul winning the republican nomination?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

please, tell me you know SOMETHING about politics because if you do you won't get your hopes up.

damn. people and their support for this guy is so damn funny.

    Yeah.
    Dude, i'm no idiot.
I know "whats up", but i also believe in standing for something on principle.

If you would rather sell out to the lesser of two evils, then by all means abandon all your integrity and jump on the bandwagon.

    Getting back to Louisiana,
    I STAND CORRECTED,

AT THE LAST MINUTE, ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATEDS BANDED TOGEATHER, UNDER THE TITLE "PRO-LIFE \ PRO - FAMILY" TO STEAL THE VOTE.

    No shit. Look into it.
Instead of having boothes for all the candidates where someone would say, "Hey here is a list of the delegates that support Candidate X, vote for these folks if you like Candidate X" ... INSTEAD there was

    a. The Ron Paul booth
    b. The "Pro-Life \ Pro-Family" booth

Which consisted of a list of any and all delegates NOT Pro-Paul. And by which i mean, it was a hodgepodge of McCain, Romney, Giuliani, and Huckabee delegates.

    INTERESTING AND SICK, huh?

    :(

  • It's funny, I go out in the world, and 70% of the people I see don't strike me as particularly intelligent in one way shape or form. A large percentage of that strikes me in many forms.

Then I realize as far as percentages go, I am more likely to come across more intelligent people in Canada out of 100 people just going on the ratio of numbers. i.e. US:Canada approx 10:1.

That's what I notice overwhelmingly when I come across people in my travels to the South.

Idiocracy is here already I think.

    hehe
