yes, but he claimed michael moore is a fraud simply b/c he didn't put things in farenheit 911 that alex thought should go...and for that he is a fraud and working for the system!

that is negativity. he did what he does a lot, he goes in w/ his mind made up rather than honestly wanting to ask questions, they way he's so aggressive and calls names....

maybe he needs to be this way but it is still negativity. if i wanted to know why he didn't put those things in his film i think the better way would be to just ask...nicely, not following him and filming him while he eats screaming he's a fraud

all i was saying was you did in a way condone negativity, and you obviously respect alex jones so you also respect it in a way...

Whew! I finally found time to get through parts I & II. I still need to watch part III. I'll tell you this was very thought provoking and thanks to whoever posted this movie!

Part I was interesting to me, because I was on a 'did Jesus really exist?' quest about a year and a half ago. After my own research and a few dinners with a friend who happens to be a history professor at the University here (and an atheist), I was pretty satisfied that he did indeed exist. Also, I was not able to corroborate the info in part I and I spent quite a bit of time and effort. I even pulled out some old school encyclopedia and books about ancient religions & Egypt. So then I looked at the movie's references and was a bit disappointed. http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/sources.htm
So, it was all quite anti-climatic for me really. I'm really interested in what academics had to say about the factual content in part I. I'll tell you, if anyone in the academic world tried to publish a paper using the references this movie used, it would be ugly.

Just a thought, but I would urge folks to do their own investigation before believing everything they hear hook, line, & sinker, whether it is a religion, a particular philosophy, or a movie like this. Sometimes half-truths padded with some clever lies look very compelling.

    1. What are the "convenient approximations" you speak of?

Well the whole part on egyptian mythology for one. I don't know much about Horus but I know enough to know the mythology wasn't as simple as presented. For example, Horus has a dad called Osiris or is the resurrected form of an ancient kind (depending on where in Egypt you look for his traces).
Then there is the implicit play on "god sun" and "god's son" which would be a good point if the populations at that time actually spoke english.
    2. There are two reasons i can think of, as to why they may have "shifted strategies" regarding targets in 911

    a. The American people were so numb and brainwashed on TV by the time 911 came around, that killing a couple dozen Army enlisted would potentially not raise enough fear or desire to go to war in the American people. The USS Cole didn't rasie enough eye brows, so maybe they just went bigger and scarier.

    b. More "importantly", the killing of a large number of civilians would insite FAR MORE fear, rage and vengance in the public sentiment SPECIFICALY due to the civilian nature of the targets. It would directly allow the administration to begin a war against terror ... because civilians were the target ... this would theoreticaly (and so far, actually) alow them to continue a war INDEFINATELY with NO REAL ENEMY listed other than some phantom network of shadowy evil doeers ...

... oh ... and a country (Iraq) that was innocent on every fucking count, but which is now up to nearly A MILLION CIVILIAN FATALITIES itself ... (that's an estimated nearly 700,000 deaths caused by TOTAL violent actions essentially created by the lawlessness and violent environment which the U.S agressor CREATED) ...

so that could be some reasonsing for you.
    :(

The war on terror is a good argument, but still I find it strange that it's the only war provoking "incident" that happened on the mainland. The war on terror could have worked with attacks on american interests overseas I think. Certainly not as well it's true, but killing 3,000 civilians in NY to wage war is still hard to believe.
I'm still skeptic, but it really is a thought provoking movie and that's always nice.

That's the essence of the whole event. It wouldn't be too convincing if only 200 people died and the towers stood up. It had to be very dramatic to garner the American public eye. I mean we're about to attack Iran and we're barely batting an eye over that possible reality.

If the agenda they've set incorporates innocent Americans dieing well then it becomes all the more convincing in that case. Look at Pearl Harbour we knew the Japanese were coming, in fact incited them and 2000 Americans were killed almost the same thing and the end result our country followed the government almost 100% into war.

for years now i have thought of bill hicks as a personal savior for me... his rants really opened my eyes and stripped the black paint away... this movie kind of sums up all those feelings of discovery i had when i discovered hicks... and the fact that there are bill hicks references throughout are of no surprise to me

we are living in the most exciting and crazy time to be alive and that I would say is the most optimistic feeling I got from this movie

highly recommended for all to see... and thanks the the original poster for posting!!

Here are a couple of sites recommended to me by my history professor friend. These are sites about Horus and the first site is a summary of the oldest account of the birth of Horus. Compare the info provided in the film to the info here. Interesting, indeed.

The problem with the myth/legend of Horus is that it seemed to keep changing with time.

When you realize you are being affected negatively the game changes. I'm no chump, so good luck with your accusations. The philosophy I outlined only applies only if your rights are not at risk and no one is attacking you personally.

Yes it's the correct philosophy and I was right to say it, but you can see very much a pipe dream in realty as you are pointing out.

Oh, duuuuuuude... I totally thought you were joking... and I was playing along! You were serious about that shit?

Okay, well then if your "philosophy" only applies to circumstances where "your rights are NOT at risk" and "no one is attacking you personally"... and I would assume you meant to include, "if some one else's rights or wellbeing is not at risk"... you may be right...

but then again... a rhino has skin that is three feet thick... maybe we should just be comfortable in ours.

I am waiting for the transcripts of the Tom Cryer trial to come out ... Truthattacks.org is hoping to get the $1,600 they need to free them.

Based on what i read in that, i will consider fighting it myself.

I don't know why i should have to fight (i mean, pragmaticaly i get why the system wants to fuck you) but idealisticaly, it does seem there is NO law holding ANY private sector US citizen LIABLE for income tax.

    hMM.

No worries. I must have read it wrong. I'm so used to getting criticized here that I perhaps read into more subtleties than was necessary. I'm usually bouncing back and forth between stuff so I probably did a quick once over and ...(cough) replied :p

  • so yup, to me, the religion around the man Jesus is created, made out of myth-stories of thousands years ago and that has its origin in our former religion: PAGAN.

the paganism that early christianity borrowed from was middle eastern in nature.

its only when the roman catholic church started converting the rest of europe did christianity start adopting and borrowing from european/germanic paganism.
I have faced it, A life wasted...

Take my hand, my child of love
    Come step inside my tears

    thanks for clearifying.
Maybe I just shouldn't have done such a statement as I am really not into any religion at all. Hence, do not know much about it and especially no details.... so thanks.

This is the greatest documentary ever made.

The first part, about "astrotheology", should be shown in every public school and university not only in our country, but the world.

Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

    ?
This documentary is about the attempted (and CURRENTLY WORKING!) ENSLAVEMENT OF HUMANITY!

"Be courteous to others" is NOT going to cut it!

People around the world need to WAKE THE FUCK UP, start asking SERIOUS questions of themselves, eachother, their politicians, private stake holders and media executives ...

people need to REFUSE TO GIVE IN TO THE TERROR perpetrated upon them by sociopathic murdering conspirators to global tyranny!

... unite with eachother and work to take back the grace of this good earth INCH BY BLOODY INCH!

If we ALL don't start demanding a reversal of this nazi death march towards a Brave New World Order, then we are going to see the coming of HELL ON EARTH ... despite what the first 30 minutes of this movie may or may not lead you to believe!

you might want to see a doctor. you seem to have caught 'che-guevera' disease. it's a rare disorder named after the mia board member of the same name involving an alarmist and paranoid conviction that the world is ending and everyone is out to get you. treatments include suicide, smoking some pot, or chilling the fuck out.

    you still haven't seen it?

    You NEED to!
I've seen it. It's wrong on lots of things, and right on some. The comparisons between Jesus and the other gods aren't really as convincing as they make them out to be. Check other sources and see for yourself. But I do agree with the overall point that religions like Christianity are created for social control.

But to say that the only way to get out of the debt created by the federal reserve is to borrow more money from it is ridiculous. Anyone with half a brain should immediately realize foreign income can reduce that debt, and potentially eliminate it.

But in general, it's informative to someone who doesn't know how the money is controlled. That's a very important thing to understand I think.

    you know man...

I've done some thinking and I'm not buying the whole US is evil thing. I think it's misguided to think that way.

Not only that. I feel like a shit for participating in it.

I don't think it's accurate or responsible to promote information that says America or anyone for that matter is evil or bad. It's wrong. It needs to stop, and right now.

I no longer promote, condone or respect anyone saying anything bad about anyone else. That in itself is anti humanity and defies logic as a positive means towards accomplishing anything.
