  • yeah, theres a lot of debate over many issues. Hopefully someday the actual truth will come out........yeah right.

Interesting because there seems to be much debate about that from what I'm reading. It is definitely listed as one of the reasons.

I don't know enough about American history to say...all I recognize is similarities, and patterns throughout history. It all seems to go in cycles all over the world, not just the US. I'd have to spend several hours reading US history to refresh myself of the goings on 100+ years ago.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

  • Make sure you read the proper material......don't forget that those who are victorious, tell the history how they see fit. I suggest starting with the two, books i mentioned, not very expensive on Amazon. They contain alot of references which can be researched as well.

driftin, if you believe bush planned and orchestrated 9/11, and the US has been doing evil for decades, why do you live here? the world is a big place. just go?

Though I take this question as an insult, I will answer.

The pragmatic answer would be that getting citizenship in another country as an AMERICAN citizen is VERY hard ...

    beyond that,
why the fuck should i have to leave a country that is in theory supposed to be such a great institution, only to watch it be dragged through the mud (or oil) by a bunch of selfish crooks who would step on us, spit on our mothers, and club our babbies to make a buck, and then trample around the world doing the same to every other nation they deem "an easy target" with valuble spoils to plunder !?!

    anyhow ...

I feel pretty strongly about the strength and beauty of this country's consitution and founding principals. I am indignant at the numerous disgraces that have been conferred upon it by short-sighted narrow-minded pig-headed politicians, and I'd like to stick around and try for my life to affect some change on that situation. I

" [declaration of independence]

... are you safe & happy?
I'm not. I bet the people of Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan aren't either.

How many countries must one government fuck over in 8 years to qualify for the actions called for in the above passage?
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

I'll add this link to my previous observation. Iraqi segregation in the military, it would seem to confirm. Seems odd.

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

In Antebellum times, the North was an early industrial based economy with a large population. The South had an agricultural based economy with a small population. A great percentage of that agriculture was exported to foreign countries, and the South tended to use this trade to acquire finished goods from the same foreign countries. This meant that they tended not to buy finished goods from northern industries. Of course, this did not sit well with the owners of northern factories. Thus, their congressman began to pass tariffs that began to cut into the profits of the importers/exporters of the South. The first secession crisis was a good thirty years before the war. South Carolina was wanting to secede due to the tariff issue.
