The preacher man says it's the end of time... What do YOU believe in?

Religious or not,
the bible talks about end times and global government.

More frightening is that the language of some recent politicians mimicks these passages to the word.

What do YOU believe in?

Now ask your self, what do THEY believe in?

???
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

I don't believe it's the end of time. The video shows single quotes. Hitler wasn't talking about the same "new world order" as Gorbachev, for example. To properly judge these quotes you'd need a full context.

Now of course the idea that certain people want a "new world order" isn't that far-fetched. It isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

I'm really not concerned that the bible predicts world government and the end of times. And are you refering to the "peace and security" part? If so, I'm not really concerned about that either.

Even if a global government should come into existence, I don't think it will be the end of times.

    See Collin.
To me, that IS the point.

They WEREN'T talking about the same thing.

That is why world government is so dangerous.

Obviously what our forefathers intended here in the United States is NOT what we currently have.

We have the "same" government that they had, but the people running it today aren't "talking about the same" thing.

Even the Kennedy's believed in the idea of world government. Yeah, both RFK and JFK mentioned "a new world order" at least once.

    But that IS the PROBLEM.
What JFK and RFK saw was probably a beautiful thing. An idyllic vision of order, justice, equity, and peace for all.

However, what Hitler saw, what Rockefeller probably sees, and what many others who speak of a "new world order" see is the potential for massive profit and personal gain at the expense of those whom they rule over.

The only difference between what JFK saw and what Hitler saw was the difference between the natures of the men themselves. One was a kind and noble man who saw no color of skin and no limit to the human spirit; but the other was a self obsessed, genocidal, maniacal occultist lunatic. See? The difference lies only in the benevolence of the ruling class, or the malevolence of the opressive regime.

You can not have a global institution of government, because it is ONLY as good as those who rule it. It only takes getting the leader wrong ONCE to fuck it up FOREVER, and with world government there is NO ALTERNATIVE.

How people can not understand that is beyond me, because in the United States you need look no farther than towards our OWN capitol to understand this notion: even the greatest and best intentioned form of government can be corrupted.

Probably the most important and powerful of all the legal concepts with which our forefathers endowed us concerning government is that of the divine and inherent right of the people "to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government" when their old government "becomes destructive of these ends".

In a New World Order there is NO right to abolish your government.

    You are trapped.
And it will not matter the difference between the notions of Kennedy, Gorbachev or Hitler.

There is no global government, so I think it's a bit early to say what rights you'll have. I also think it will be a while before we witness a "new world order", the kind you are talking about anyway.

All regimes, all systems fall eventually. We wouldn't be trapped because there's a way out.

I think we should stop worrying about when the world's gonna end... and place all that energy into trying to stop it from ending

Politicians, much as they are privee to information that we don't even DREAM about, are no closer than us to knowing when the world is going to end.

The world's been going to end every few years since the inception of religion..

The world will be just fine. It's about fear and control. If you fear the world is going to end, you are going to be more easily controlled.

What exactly is supposed to end in the world?

    I'm not really suggesting apocalypse.

I'm just attempting to illustrate for those who continously deny the protaganism by many towards world government that such beliefs do exist and are a strong force.

The fact that the authors of the Bible anticipated this great push, and held the belief that it would bring massive pain and suffering is, to me, merely a telling sign.

Yeah, but in 2012 people will discover they've made some "miscalculations" and the actually end of times will be in 2032... And in 2032 they'll find out it's really in 2051.

but it wouldn't be the same... you KNOW you're not gonna die :o . As much fun as heaven sounds, it's good to live on the edge at times. Besides it's kinda like moving home... I like the one I'm in for now :o

You could still live on the edge... Write swear words on the Pearly Gates and such. You're not going to "die", but you could get in trouble with Old Man Peter.

hmm... that's true :) but it's just I find it funny how people (yes, YOU even flow? :p ) think religious people should automatically want to die... just cos they believe in heaven... I believe in Russia but I don't wanna go there :) . Also Tahiti would be my impression of paradise on earth but I there's no point jumping straight to the best :)

I remember people saying it was the 'End of Days' in the 1980s as the Cold War was in full geat... when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan... and Ayatollah Khomeini was declared the Anti-Christ.
And I bet the people thought it was the 'End of Days' when the Atom Bomb was born... and when the horrors of World War I appeared... and when the the Spanish flu hit... and when the Black Plague hit...
    ...
If you think about it... religion uses fear as it's basic method to keep people in line. Don't do this or that because if you do... Hell is your fate. And the term... 'God Fearing'... shit, it has the word 'FEAR' right in it. You should FEAR GOD. I think it is ALWAYS the 'End Of Days' as long as there is a preacher that truely wants it to happen.
Eventually, there WILL be an End of Days... which will be a result of the planet's natural course through the Universe.

I believe that when the hurting and the pain has gone
We will be strong, Oh yes we will be strong
And I believe that if I'm crying while I write these words
Is it absurb ? Or am I being real
I believe that if you knew just what these tears were for
They would just pour like every drop of rain
That's why I believe it is too late for anyone to believe
I believe that if you thought for a moment, took your time
You would not resign yourself to your fate
And I believe that if it's written in the stars, that's fine
    I can't deny that I'm a Virgo too
I believe that if your bristling while you hear this song
I could be wrong or have I hit a nerve ?

In the nighttime, In the storm

My understanding is that 2012 will usher in a new consciousness, beyond time. The end of the world as we know it.

Consciousness beyond ego. Apocolypses of all sorts indicate the ongoing ultimate human battle, of resolving the inner conflicts and rising to a 'higher' level of wholeness. Of being reborn. It is only through the death of the ego - or who we think we are - that we transcend into who we really are.

    The two eyes become one.
