Its not the marriage - its the treatment of a couple... You either already know that or don't want to...
The right to act as a relative in a hospital - file a joint tax return - you know - just to be treated like everyone else - whether or not they act just like you - or believe in the same things you do... just fair treatment..0 -

What if the person I'm in love with won't marry me? Marriage is not a right. The only people we should try to get even with...

Oh really now? That's the definition of a right? They never had it so it can't be taken away. Furthermore, people can oppose it for reasons other than prejudices. The only people we should try to get even with...

I think it's one of the best. Maybe it's just over your head. How can something be a right that involves the consent of someone else? The only people we should try to get even with...

Yes I have heard of them... However I don't need one for every think I need to do with my family - which includes my wife - and her family ....
Gays.. need to get a lawyer and spend time and money guessing what could possibly happen to them - and draw powers of attorney? because they don't think like you? errr they don't fuck like you.. and guess what - I know you are adamantly opposed to abortion - these people are having sex that will not result in an unwanted pregnancy - that should be better to you than a young man and woman having sex - before they are ready for children..
sorry - I really muddied it up now... just that I think you have such tunnelvision - I get frustrated.0 -
gays disgust me
Esther's here and she's sick?

Again, you jump to conclusions far too quickly my friend. I think the tunnelvision comment could possibly be reserved for the mirror. I have nothing against homosexuals and their unions. I have big problems with their arguments for legal marriage...and I also have big problems with the other sides arguments against legal marriage. I'm not so transparent or shallow as you assume. The only people we should try to get even with...

I see.. so this is more about the intricacies of the english language. You prefer a strict narrow sort of tunnelish use of the word marriage - it can be the same as marriage - cept if its two boys or two girls its called civil union and if its boy girl or girl boy its marriage?0 -
My marriage is not effected by anyone elses marriage and/or union. If it ever is, then I need to work on my marriage. I married at 17, I am 35 now.
Equal rights for everyone.

Kids are wonderful sleep snatchers! LOL
Got one 15 yr old myself. Who can't stand PJ...I tell him one day you will listen and understand. I am feeding you good music until then....LOLNelluc and Kcalb0 -
*applauds*
i look forward to the day that it is legal in all 50 states, and no one gives it a second thought, as well it should be. how two other people, male/female, male/male, female/female...choose to live their lives is none of my business, and i thoroughly believe they are as deserving of the 'rights' that my husband and i share as a married couple. the legalities of marriage are just that, a legal issue...all else....is your own personal beliefs, and ALL citizens who are legal, consenting adults, should have access to whatever benefits there is to a legal marriage.Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -

New Jersey court backs gay rights
Only one US state has allowed same-sex marriages so far
The US state of New Jersey's Supreme Court has ruled that gay couples are entitled to the same rights as heterosexual couples.
But the court says it is for the legislature to decide whether the state will honour gay marriage or some other form of civil union.
Lawmakers have been given six months to decide whether to change marriage laws.
I'm glad that the Supreme Court is leaving it up to the will of the legislature rather than decreeing it from the bench. While I don't fully agree with the view, i think that this is a perfect example of when the legislative process needs to be followed, not the judicial process of mandation. Let the people decide...or at least let their representatives decide.make sure the fortune that you seek...is the fortune that you need0 -
