It probably will not end well. Since the world's focus is always limited to the oppressive regime they fail to hold accountable the governments that aid these regimes allowing them to stay in power. Until we start holding those countries accountable as well, in this case China and India, oppressive regimes like the military junta in Myanmar will simply squash rebellions like this with untold blood shed.

What should be done is a proposal to levy sanctions on India, and China if they do in fact provide military aid to Myanmar. Without the aid the military government will not have to means to stay in power. Instead of increasing the sanctions on a people that are already suffering, levy them on the countries that help support the dictatorship that oppresses them.

well ... that won't work diplomatically speaking as the US provides military aid to all kinds of shady groups ... so, we'd just have a bunch of bickering ...

china does seem to be a key country moving forward in all sorts of geo-political issues ...

I realize that it will not work. No country would want to be the first one to propose such sanctions because all of the permanent members of the Security Council sell weapons and provide funding to some very shaddy governments. I was merely speaking hypothetically. This would be the surest way of deposing oppressive regimes. If the constant stream of funds and weapons that help these despots stay in power is suddenly cut off they would no longer have the means to control the population.

yup ... but it's almost like one can't exist without the other ... can you imagine if there were no oppressive military dictators - who would the carlysle group sell it's stuff to??

Something tells me that we would all be better off if both did not exist.
