haha, nah, trust me, I always thought that line was pure velveeta cheese.

and I knew he had the support of the bigwigs going in, but I though maybe he was a little bit of a rebel nonetheless. it was only a few weeks before the election that I decided to vote for Obama/Biden and that was more of a stand against McCain/Palin and the idiocy they stood for. plus, I wasn't inspired to vote for Nader, McKinney, Barr (helllll no) or Baldwin (lol).

but I did think about writing in Naked Dancing Llama for Prez and Flying Spaghetti Monster for VP, and now I wish I had.

hehehe, I think they are all better choices than Obama/Biden!

Why thank you! I'm sure you understand the meaning behind it sister. ;)

........... If people couldn't vote for a woman this time, how in the hell will they vote for one damn near 70, eight years from now?

I'm sorry, but this is exactly the load of shit I was talking about. So, you are saying that McCain did not win because he is Arizonan-like Barry Goldwater in 64? ..or when I do not get a promotion it is because I am a male...or whoever is the runner up on "idol" is die to people not being able to vote for-insert your gruop or demographic here. The problem is not being a woman-it is beign who she is. God help us, give it a rest please. hilary still represents baby boomers as well to many voters younger then her ( and look at what a fine job they have done with both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush)

The world is not as full of sexism as you want to think. I would challenge you to look at surveys of who controls finances in most male-female marriages..and look up a few movies, like....Men Don't Tell and Disclosure-women can be sexist too. Also take a look at father figures on television today..the most popular is Homer Simpson who fumbles his family into hellish situations only to be saved by the modest, yet hypercompotent Marge.....

Really, you could say the sky is blue and some would call it sexist..do you als think that Palin was treated as she was due to sexism? ..or could it be that these particular women were seen as lacking the competencies to lead the free world (although for very different reasons)?

Question: Do you have your own personal vagina?

If you do. You need to open your fucking eyes! Sexism, along with ageism, racism, homophobia, discrimination against fat people, etc, is discrimination that is alive and well!

And to your analogy about women controlling the finances in some households. That's only because in most of those cases, the women don't work, but instead breed and pay the bills with the money the husband earn!

It's all about perspectives and since I'm a 42 year old college educated woman who has been working for the better part of 20 years, I've seen sexism and sexist attitudes in every day life and in the work place, and it's everyfuckingwhere, especially in politics!

So, all males should now "shut the fuck up" ..does that not exhibit any sexism on your part? I am 40, not college degreed, and have worked the better part of 26 years. BTW I have reported sexual harrasment of women in the workplace and suffered the carrer consequnces in 92 ( lost promotion), 94 ( lost promotion), 96 ( lost promotion, transferred to graveyard shifts, lost job), 99 (lost promotion transferred away, lost house), 2004 ( lost promotion, lost job) and 2006 ( lost promotion lost job). I was sexually harassed by a female senior employee in 88, 91, 95, 99, and 2004-and di not report for fear for reprecussions.
I have taken more than a few nice beatings at the hands of racists for speaking out against them-and and voiced my position against the gay marriage ban and racism on this very board.
Surely, there is no way to experience being you without being you. ..just as there is no way for a white as myself to really know what it's like for an African American to be called derogatory terms. I have , though fought racism, sexism and homophobia as best I understood it, all of my adult life.
If you suppose that all males are sexist by gender, then I have to be labeled a sexist.-and you and I have somethig in common.

BTW, my sister whom I am very close to..is a 43 yr old Psychology Proffessor , who in fact studies biases, racism , sexism, homophobia and other bigotry. I had nearly the same conversation with her, and she does not feel that Hillary was beaten in the priamry due to sexism. I am not sure who would find your response more laughable, my sister, good friend who is a black woman working at a University for 20 years, my gay friends, or my staunchly liberal friends. So, I suppose I will no longer coment, as removing my penis would not make my wife very happy-and I am as devoted to her as I am to my dirt bike riding daughter.

Enjoy the pursuit of your pompus, pseudo intellectual hating.
    Cheers

I've always liked Hillary. She is seen very favorably and is very respected around the world from her years as First Lady and Senator.

She will get shit done. Good pick Barack.
