i guess now rush's criticism of some guy who is going to jail because he pretended to be a soldier, who never was in fact a soldier, is somehow attacking veteran war critics? seriously?

does the far left have ANY interest in actual debate?

why does the media matters quote end where it does?

this organization is teetering on the brink of insanity...if it hasn't already crossed that line.
And you ask me what I want this year

  • I'm not sure what you are talking about, but citing actual quotes (not from Rush, but from what the people actually said, in context) would be helpful.

  • fair enough:

Here's the guy he was talking about, an actual phony soldier.

A guy who pretended to be a veteran.

Again, notice where media matters STOPS his quote...he went on to talk about this phony solider into detail...media matters doesn't really want people to make informed judgements though.

this has nothing to do with an illegal war that has slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent people

when will people stop nit picking the small stupid shit that fits their view and agenda and start dealing with the real issues?

probably never from some of them, considering they have lost almost all justification for these actions

and seriously, what the fuck are you doing still listening to Rush Limbaugh for? i think he has been thoroughly proven to be a fraud. anyone that aligns themselves with one politcal party and stance so staunchly is just a flat out fool

he acts like the word liberal is evil

grow up Mr Limbaugh and have some real discussions, otherwise your just a fucking joke

because he's the most brilliant political commentator of our time...i mean, he's no chomsky or zinn...and he doesn't play the guitar...

but you gotta give me credit for calling this "controversy" 3 days before it unfolded...

    it's revealing...

Well we want to understand everyone's perspective right? wanna get President Tom's perspective, and hugo chavez' perspective...why are you so unwilling to engage in a dialogue with conservatives?

why is it so easy to label conservatives as hatemongers but so uneasy to criticize whack job heads of state?

I don't see any of it that way at all. I don't see "conservatives" or "liberals."

I see humans doing the political thing.

I'm guessing you do see conservatives vs liberals. liberal attitudes are tolerant, virtuous, and moral...conservative attitudes are based in greed, and are hateful, and don't forget the hating the children thing. I mean... i can't tell you how much glee we have in denying children's health care with the S-SHIP thing. Be honest, you think rush limbaugh is a racist, sexist, homophobe, etc. that's the template. conservatives ARE that way. that is why you responded with "LMAO"

keep on living in that template...it's not going to make you feel better.

you read chomsky and zinn...of course you are going to have your head half into the oven...who the hell wants to sit there and be belittled with guilt? don't we have enough guilt?

The point is, it doesn't matter. American politics as it is, is utterly complete garbage, Rush Limbaugh and many others, included.

With this administrations record, do you really think a smear campaign is needed? THe truth is right in everyones face. Rush and oreilly try to distract people from the truth. They did it before the war and they are still doing it.

Sorry man, but Rush makes me want to pull my car across the median on the interstate hoping that an oncoming 18 wheerler puts an end to my life before I have to hear the next word that comes out of my mouth. There is no hope in anything that man says.

Obamas book, now there is something that gave me hope.

Pretty sure lying about reasons for going to war would be considered illegal. Not only that, but there's been no "declaration of war" from the Congress. Then again, there hasn't been one of those since December 8, 1941.

the question isn't necessarily is there hope in what he says, but truth in what he says? I know that he can be an ass at times ( just as every political pundit commentator can be), but a lot of times his observations are correct. I work with a guy who is in his mid 60's and has been a democrat his whole life and he commented the other day on the absurdity of the phoney soldier thing and he said that even though Rush pisses him off a lot (in what he says and how he says it), Rush is still correct in most of his observations.

I don't want someone giving me hope if they can't follow through with it and i don't want hope at the sacrifice of truth; which is what the gov't has been doing for years.

I'll agree that it is absurd. Rush Limbaugh, moveon.org, or anything similar to those two should never reach the floor of the Congress. They have the peoples work to do, which doesn't include condemning ads or what someone says on the radio. Get back to the actual business, not this garbage.
  • The outrage over Rush's comments is as stupid and worthless as the outrage over the move-on Petraeus ad.
