Surprising that I'm the first one to bring her idiotic comment up...but Coulter has crossed the line that people like Rush, Glenn, and Laura, wouldn't dare to approach. she is in a really whacko place. I like a lot of coulter's stuff..and I think she has a lot of interesting things to say...but she's out of touch to make the comment she did. she is causing much more harm than good.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

What'd she say this time? Did she praise Hitler or something? She's always putting her hoof in her mouth...

Sometimes I have to wonder if she's not really a raging liberal on a mission to make conservatives look like idiots.

I've actually thought that for a while now. No one could be that incendiary. She really should just be watched for pure entertainment only "let's see what crazy ass shit she says next".
  • Why do people still pay attention to this woman? Seriously, what does she have to offer to anyone?

i think some of her stuff is funny...but you have to be able to make your wise-cracks in context...she has crossed the line over to michael savage in my opinion, as a fringe whacko.

I'm just amazed at some of the stuff she says that I'm actually surprised this one is causing so much of a stir. She has openly bashed Canadians (she said that we're all remnants of the worst Americans or something along that line) she has called Bill Clinton a homosexual, called the widows of 9-11 money grabbing whores, she has said stupid things like Iraq is like California.... So much crap that I'm amazed this caused so much trouble. Its like if she doesn't say something completely crazy and offensive than people are disappointed.
  • Honestly, I could actually care less what Ann Coulter says. Outrageous remarks are her thing. You don't shoot a duck for qucking, right?

To me, the most interesting part of this whole thing is that the audience apparently thought the remark was hilarious. I first saw footage of the incident on a website, so the audio wasn't so great, but when I saw it replayed on CNN, the applause and laughter was clearly VERY loud. This CPAC conference is billed as a meeting of the grassroots conservative movement; the so-called "values voters". This group is arguably the most influential bloc of the Republican party. They pride themselves on living up to a higher moral standard than the rest of the country. No GOP presidential hopeful gets anywhere in primary season without the support of these people. These are the the people that Senator Straight Talk, Romney, and Mayor 9-11 are going to be pandering to for the next 12 months. They also apparently love a good faggot joke.

I agree with her take on modern liberalism, in that it is a replacement for religion, and I think i'ts an interesting argument...

at the same time, she really has a hard time coming off as an adult when debating allen colmbs.

i understand where she was coming from in her intent in her "joke," but you have to be CERTAIN you can connect the dots for people when making such a jokie...she has the resrouces to connect the dots.

Someone started a thread about her comment on the March 2nd (it's still on the first page of the threads or use the search function).

let's be clear. are you referring to the hurricane itself, or the mind-numbingly incompetent response by the federal government to the hurricane?

the funny thing is edwards is not even gay.

she must have another book of venom and dim witted ramblings to unleash on the world and is using this as a publicity stunt.

then she apologizes and says that she was not comparing gay people to john edwards "because that would be mean".

seriously though, by me commenting on her i have wasted 24 seconds of my life i can never get back.

Ann Coulter is the anti-ego of Michael Moore. Both of them are characitures of the extreme ends of the political spectrum, not real people. They are ENTERTAINERS who look to make money... just like any other ENTERTAINER... by selling tickets to movies or books at Barnes and Nobles. Neither of them represent anyone... and if they DO represent anyone... they represent the dolts who fall for their sales pitches... just like the people who think Professional Wrestling is real or that Jerry Springer guests are real or that the BangBus really picks up regular girls off the streets, fucks 'em and dumps 'em... it's all fake.
The world is filled with fools... who willingly hand over their money to snake oil salesmen... just as P.T.Barnum stated, "There's one born every minute". But, since Barnum's time, things have changed... one is born every second. Getting money from these suckers is easy because they are too stupid to know they are being taken.
Take these people... all these people, Coulter, Moore, O'Rilley, Hannity, Savage, Imus, Springer, Hulk Hogan... at face value... they are here to entertain you and to hock their DVDs or books or cheap ass Made In China windbreakers with 'The No-Spin zone' emblazened across the back... which makes the wearer look like a real tool... proud to be wearing the 'Kick Me' sign taped to their backs. The only honest ones in the bunch are Jon Stewart and Cobert... they admit to being a parody of the failure of the media to just do good old fashioned journalism. They know they don't have to 'Check the facts' as O'Rielly argued... it's a Comedy Show... the hint should be all too clear... they're on COMEDY CENTRAL. I just cannot believe how many Americans believe this shit... I find it funny and sad, laughable and scary all at the same time.
This is why Coulter says this shit... to get her name out there so people will get her on their shows and idiot people will watch... and possibly, buy her books. She's probably pissed off because Anna-Nicole went and died or Britney shaved her head and pushed her way off the idiot box. Saying something that's way out there gets her press... and she doesn't have to shave her head, flash her cunt to the photographers at the valet parking or drop dead to do so.

I laughed out loud when I read that. What a fucking joke.
So Liberalism is a replacement for religion is it? O.k, so what does that make neo-conservatism then?

I find it disturbing that so many Americans regard Michael Moore's political stance as being so extreme as to be outside of the spectrum of acceptable debate/discussion. It seems strange that someone who has made it his job to simply uncover corruption and deceit in the American political system can be regarded as some sort of wacko.
Sure, he's an entertainer. He takes the piss out of public figures. So what? Why is this so radical and invalid? You say '..it's all fake.' I'd say there's a lot of truth and relevance in Farenheit 9/11, and in T.V Nation.
