McCain in favor of DRAFT !!!!!!!!!

If McCain wins this country will continue on with war and into a depression.
He doesn't care if people have jobs. He is an old rich white guy. This war is pointless and possibly endless. It will just move somewhere else. 9-11 does not equal Iraq!
It is not for our freedom or any one elses.
If we really cared about others freedom would't we be in Africa?!!!!!0 -

I asked you a simply question and you responded with "WTF! My guess is you watch Fox news every night" see how juvenile that is?
you also made one of the most ridiculous claims I've ever heard in my life about old white rich men not caring if people have jobs. I'm still rather speechless by that comment. whenever you'd like to debate, please let me know.0 -
Now I see how you have posted so much in 1 week. This is not a chat room.
My rich white man comment is based on all the same that have been in power and run all the corporations. They care about profit. They send jobs to China, Mexico now Canada. Is anything you buy made in the US? That means loss of jobs. I can give numerous examples of people that have lost jobs in their 40's and 50's now they work at Wal-mart or gas stations.
Please don't begin to tell me that rich WMA care about the working or middle class.
I hope that was bettter.Excuse me now I have things to do. Peace0 -

do corporations employ people?0 -
I will tell you right now the draft is probably the best thing that could happen at this point. The American people will be far more vocal against any type of unnecessary military adventure that our government may lead us into. It's a lot easier to sit by quietly when you know your kids will not have to go off and die."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0

this talk of the draft is asinine. can someone tell me what war we are fighting in that would require the draft?0 -

Our current involvements are getting close. You already have stop-loss in effect, and tours extended/added, and the time in-between tours shortened, and our historically part-time domestic national guard on full-time foreign duty.
It's not out of the question to think that if we do get involved in Iran in any sort of on-the-ground capacity, our military would be stretched out beyond it's limits to accomplish what our horrible political minds think they should. My whole life

really? Rice is in Iraq today and apparently a time table agreement has been reached for troops to come home.
the mention of a draft is complete bullshit0 -

As blackredyellow stated our military is stretched to it's limit. We currently have to theaters of operation and who knows what is going to happen with Iran and/or Russia. Now I'm not saying we NEED the draft. I simply stated that I believe the draft would be a good thing."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

the war in Iraq appears to be winding down. War with Iran will not happen...same with Russia. the draft is completely pointless and would not be a good thing. would just be a waste of money0 -

I agree that there will be no reason for a draft. I'm not as optimistic as you about Iraq, will not believe anything this administration says until I actually see it happen. I do disagree with you about the draft. While I don't see it as creating a military as good as one that consists of volunteers, I do believe that it a means to prevent our politicians from waging unnecessary wars."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0
