the most interesting part of that is that there are people who hate cuba and probably have no valid reason whatsoever ...

you can tell who his audience is just by that ...

No, it's true. Ask Michael, he'll tell you. He went to Cuba to because he hates America. Duh!

Who's this Hannity guy? Is he the one that constantly interrupts the guests he is interviewing from the "fair and balanced" news network?

I like how a trip to Cuba is seen as a treasonous offense. Beware of those evil Cubans and their decrepid cigar smoking bearded leader.

Health care we have. The best money can buy. That's why people come here from around the world rather sit in some national health sevice queue hoping they get an operation before they die. Or to be told by their national health service that they don't qualify for a procedure.

That is a completely separate issue from Moore's issue, which is access to health care. But to say we don't have health care is to ignore reality.

Well that's the master plan. First Cubans take over Major League Baseball then the world.

Dominicans my ass. Just because El Duque is washed up doesn't mean that all Cuban baseball players are the same. The cream of the crop is still in Cuba.

Actually as a whole your system ranks behind Canada's (which is WAY down the list)...your system is great for people with money and since we live in a society where we have class divisions (lower/middle/upper) there is a large % of those who cannot even afford healthcare and it has nothing to do with being lazy and that crap it has to do with the fact that not everyone is going to get great jobs that have great benefits because there is simply not enough of those jobs to cover everyone...therefore you have a flawed system with no net for those that require a more "public" system...ain't saying my system is great saying yours is just as far from perfect.....

I agree. I never claimed that we had the best system or coverage for everyone, but if someone has the money, no better medical care can be found anywhere. I was simply responding to a silly post that said "get some fucking health care". The health care I receive, which I pay for, is arguably better than socialized heath care I'd receive in the UK or Canada, but I understand that there are many people in this country to can't afford the health care I can.

The country as a whole has a health care system. Not perfect, but it exists. Or didn't you know that.

    Health care...really?

Every US citizen gets free operations, unlimited hospital treatment, MRI's, catscans, xrays, emergency medical, and essentially everything else performed in a hospital for that matter for free??

fuck me... about time... when exactly did that happen?

tonight, he did a segment where he interviewed the guy who played "Timmy" on the old TV show Lassie. during the interview, which he taped previously, he kept praising the show and talked about how it "embodied traditional American values". the whole interview was very genial... an unusually light and fluffy piece from O'Reilly. but after the interview, the show cuts back to the live feed, and O'Reilly can't help throwing in this smarky statement: (i'm paraphrasing) "my sister loved that show. it was a little too sappy for me, though" LOL... what an ass.

Amazing! I am so impressed. You remembered all the talking points in this one. Great job, usually republicans only recall the ones from the past two to three days. That one was at least eight days ago, so we may have to call Guinness and rewrite one with your name.

A piece of advice. You should only introduce one to two facts at a time when speaking or responding to republicans. They have a lot of trouble recognizing anything that isn't warm and fuzzy.

Myth One: The United States has the best health care system in the world.
Fact One: The United States ranks 23rd in infant mortality, down from 12th in 1960 and 21st in 1990

Fact Two: The United States ranks 20th in life expectancy for women down from 1st in 1945 and 13th in 1960

Fact Three: The United States ranks 21st in life expectancy for men down from 1st in 1945 and 17th in 1960.

Fact Four: The United States ranks between 50th and 100th in immunizations depending on the immunization. Overall US is 67th, right behind Botswana

Fact Five: Outcome studies on a variety of diseases, such as coronary artery disease, and renal failure show the United States to rank below Canada and a wide variety of industrialized nations.

Conclusion: The United States ranks poorly relative to other industrialized nations in health care despite having the best trained health care providers and the best medical infrastructure of any industrialized nation.
