Now since i swore off the leafs after they decided to sign Lindros that proved with out a don't that they don't care about playoffs and only wanting to make ppls dreams of playing in TO a reality! I was close to writing a letter telling them how much i would love to play for the leafs when they were having goaltending issues!

The leafs have not been a playoff team for a few years. They don't have the clutch players that can get things done. When your first line has Nik Antropov and Ponikarovsky bells should be going off. Then i heard rumours on SC about them possible putting up stajan at the deadline... :eek:

The reason they won't squeak in, is because of the shootout rule. When the aboved mentioned first line players are your top shootout guys no wonder your 3-6! Not to mention Raycroft says about shootouts "you basically have to hope the guy loses the puck or hits you" As a goalie i couldn't believe it, obviously i didn't go to the show, but i played a little Jr hockey. You don't close yoru eyes on a breakaway and cross your fingers.

If they wanna have a chance next year they have to drop the guys who can't skate, and focus on bringing up their young players. But they will likely trade them away for either injured players or ppl who have been to the leafs, traded then brought back again
