Are you talking about any welfare state?THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

The difference is... WE elect the people in charge, the Mafia doesn't hold elections.

There shouldn't be a loss with that I agree.
Most people I know don't mind paying taxes. Of course it sucks but they all agree it's better than a non welfare state.
That reminds me, I have to buy the Sopranos on dvd.THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

I'm quite curious -- why do you pretend it's an either/or situation?0 -

Maybe I misunderstood you, so I'll ask the question in a more detailed fashion:
1. Do you and most people you know like (or not mind) paying taxes in order to help provide for each other and those less fortunate than you?0 -
download this video, watch it,then come back and know what your talking about.

In a way, and I'm trying to be cool about this, it is you who believes the "either/or". You actually have the audacity to believe that the market is endless, forever non-quantitative, that the ideology of existentialism is at the forefront of All that Is. That Cost and Price is something that exists in the soul of a man, so beware.
Fuck You.

I don't know the motives of the people I mentioned but I don't mind that I will have to pay for those less fortunate.THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

I certainly do not. I believe you should be able to pay any tax you wish to pay to a welfare state. You actually have the audacity to believe that the market is endless, forever non-quantitative
The market is most certainly ending and quantitative.that the ideology of existentialism is at the forefront of All that Is.
Yes, I do believe that. That Cost and Price is something that exists in the soul of a man, so beware.
Hehe....no. Cost and Price is something that exists in the mind of a man.Fuck You.

Ok. That's cool. Now, why would you (and those like you) have to live in a "welfare state" to do this?0 -

I don't have to, I'm just glad I happen to live in one. I'm not planning on staying here forever. I might even move to the US for a year or maybe two.
And I imagine it's harder to do this in a non-welfare state.THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

JOEJOEJOE wrote:Slavery vs Building playgrounds are obviously much different.....there is no morality involved in decided to build playgrounds.
Of course there is. There is morality involved in every action of man. Think about it -- you believe building playground is good, right? Me too. We both reject the idea that playgrounds are bad, right? Those are moral judgments.
Now, yes slavery is certainly much worse than building playgrounds. Unless of course you're building playgrounds with slaves. And via a system of taxation, that is, in part, what you're doing. You're stealing a portion my labor for your purposes, without giving me any choice in the matter. And you're doing so violently -- threatening me with force in the event that I do not comply to your terms. Some issues are protected, such as morality and religion....separation of church and state is needed.
Separation of church and state is needed. As is seperation of state and economy.0 -

Yes, he certainly will. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam actually shakes me down for money 4 times a year. So I guess I'm used to it.Sorry, I don't have anything worth while to add to this thread......carry on......
