Is the glass half empty or half full?

Are we voting for the least of two evils?

or are we voting for the best of two options?

I am certain that either McCain or Obama will provide far better leadership than we have had over the last 8 years. Of course I believe Kermit the Frog would do the same.

Whatever a candate says from here on out has little to do with how they will lead the country. Right now they are humbly begging the electoral process the give them the job.

Once elected, they change into the person whose opinon matters.

I'm not voting...unless it's to vote out all incumbents until somebody starts doing something to decrease our government's involvement in everything.

(but I think your glass must be empty ;) )
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

I think one is always voting for the lesser of two evils. Whether the glass is half empty or half full remains to be seen based on the actions of the lesser of the evils when they take office. Anyone can and will say anything right now. What really counts is what the DO when they get in. When the first thing the current evil did was seal the presidential records upon taking office, I said...Our glass is not just half empty, it's cracked and we're f*(ked. And so we were and remain.

Tough choice. I'll go with Option C please.

but....for clarification; i can (and still do) choose to go out of my way to pick something up at a grocery store and make it myself...even tho i know i just worked 10 hours, have to pick things out, drive home, prepare it, cook it... it's still much better than being lazy and giving in

There aren't only 2 options(who told you that?).....and you certainly aren't supporting the best of the options available to you. But fuck those rights to vote for whomever you please and run for office if you wish to.....let's just follow the masses and vote for who the media says is 'viable'...because you know they would never mislead us or steer us in a direction that isn't what's best.

If we know better and are too scared, complacent and apathetic to take actions that show that we know better.....we might as well call ourselves just as ignorant and lazy as the rest of the masses....what's the difference, really?

It is very true that the media is the reason... the fact remains, it is an absolute certainty that the next president with be either the democratic or republican nominee. Fighting that is a waste of your greatness

fighting the media is perhaps a more winnable battle, since you don't have a November 2008 deadline.

I'm fighting the things that I feel need to be fought for and will continue to do so. I'm sorry you feel it is a waste but I quite strongly disagree with that sentiment.

I guess people should never have started to fight against slavery, for civil rights, voting rights, worker's rights...all because at one point they were very unheard of ideas and society, at that time, accepted things the way they already were. That's ridiculous. People risked a whole fucking lot to fight for those causes and I for one am glad they did. They made this country a better place to live for all of us. I appreciate them fighting against heavy odds and not giving up because it looked hopeless at some points. If you wanna play along then fine but I'm trying to fix what I see as broken....and it is really long overdue. We shouldn't just accept this anymore....we should act like how our country is being ran is a big fucking deal and it's affecting almost every aspect of our life now. Sorry but I'm more than just a little annoyed and concerned about this. I'm done just complaining. I want to try to do something about it.

And once again, I can fight more than one thing at a time. I speak out about the media pretty regularly, I'd say.

I still love ya, Abu...and I get that you guys are afraid of McCain. I'm just beyond letting fear hold me back now. They count on keeping us controlled by it. Fear gives them all the power they need to run all over us and take our rights one by one away from us. That's not acceptable for me anymore. And Obama and McCain are the same....you need not look any further than their foreign policies. The more subtle differences certainly aren't enough for me to give them support....not in the face of all the shit they do.

no... I don't think you or anyone should not fight to reform our political process, I am only saying that voting for Nader does nothing for that fight. He can not win.

The problems with our political process is deep..

I am not afraid of McCain.. The only problem it reminds me that a very large portion of our citizens are happy with the Bush Administration and it demonstrates that to the rest of the world. That disturbs me.

I'd like to see nobody vote.. that would be the loudest statement we could make.

I know.... I stopped voting when I was 21.. I did get out and vote for Kerry.. I really felt Bush was dangerous. Bush won. I have no respect at all from my right to vote. I have no right to vote.. not sure what I will lose next.

Yeah but It says change on all his posters...

well, the party rode Bush as far as he would take them.. with McCain as a major cheerleader

I know. They don't see it for what ever reason. No matter how much McCain and Obama's votes look the same, policies look the same, contributors look the same.... one is still a Democrat instead of a Republican! That's really an extremely good pitch, it appears!

They are plenty on here that cheerlead for Obama but say they don't agree with a lot that he has done.
