If hillary is nominated, and Ralph Nader jumps in as a candidate, we may as well skip the election and jump right to the republican inauguration. He knows this. Lets not kid ourselves.

If Hillary gets nominated, the GOP's gonna win, regardless. That one's pretty obvious.

...and ain't it funny that about a year ago or so, the 2008 election was supposed to a slam-dunk for the Democrats.

And 2004 was supposed to be the start of a decades-long reign for the Republicans, in both the Oval Office and congress.

Funny how quickly the winds can shift.

That said, the democrats can probably regain the white house if they nominate obama.

Anyone that cares for the people and is willing to stand up to corporate interests is good in my books.

To dismiss him without researching his policies is ignorant and selfish.

Amen, sister. Americans are the epitome of ignorance. That's the only explanation for the irrational behavior of the average american towards Ralph Nader. It's fucking insane. Nothing less than pure and true insanity.

What if we aren't ignorant, but still disagree with many of his policies and ideas?

I like that he's passionate. I like that he runs as a 3rd party candidate to further discussion. I'm a fan of 3rd parties and almost always vote Libertarian. I agree with many of his social issues. I disagree with most of his economic policies and ideas. He's a collectivist, and I'm an individualist, so we're bound to disagree on a lot of fundamental issues. I would hope people would be allowed to disagree with Nader without being labeled insane.

Obviously not EVERYONE in this country is ignorant, but generally, I stand by my post. You're obviously an exception. Yes, it's okay to disagree with Nader. But most people just see him as some third party kook for absolutely no valid reason.

if people want to remove corporate control of the gov't then they should actively be pimping this guy (assuming their equivalent person in their respective parties do not get a nomination)

True, true....just funny how quickly the political winds change direction. I believe that Obama has a chance, I don't believe that Hillbilly has one.
