Why are they stupid? Oh wait, I forgot who I'm typing to. They are stupid because their beliefs don't match yours. My fault.

They are misinformed morons. If you can't see that when watching the videos taken at these rallies, then I feel sorry for you.

It's not because of their beliefs that I think they are stupid. For all I know their beliefs may be the right one. Their God may be the one true God. But I find it Irritating that they feel they know better than anyone else. And I find it Irritating that they think God wants them to vote for McCain. There are many pro-choicers that strongly believe in God. And there are many people that strongly believe in God that will vote for Obama.

So you see it's not their belief system that makes me think they are foolish, it's their irrational behavior.

I'm sure there are plenty of morons on both sides, but I can't help but thinking about rallies in 1930's Germany when I see these people getting all fired up yelling "terrorist" and "kill him". Let me just state that I'm not comparing McCain/Palin or any Republican to the Nazis. I'm just saying that the reactions of the crowd are similar to the reactions of the crowds back then.

there are several documentaries out there showing the torture practices being committed by american soldiers now - the link to hitler has already been established ...

There is no defending some of the actions undertaken by this country and our military but we are far from being Nazis. I have yet to see any portion of our government propose a complete elimination of any ethnic group. The only comparison I can see is our government using a horrable event, 9/11, to further their agenda as was done by the Nazi government after the Reichstaff fires except we didn't set out in eliminating an entire continent of Jews.

does it make a difference that atrocities are done to 200 people vs. 2 million?

Yes it does. While the torture of prisoners is a disgrace it is not anywhere near genocide.

well ... some would say the use of depleted uranium may not be genocide - it has implications on an entire populace ...

in any case - i am comfortable with the comparisons to nazi germany as it pertains to the atrocities committed ...

I'm sure there are just as many dumbasses voting for Obama for Dumbass and racist reasons...not to mention ageism.
    ...
In McCain's case... think about it. If he goes out.. Palin steps to the plate. I don't know about you... but, someone who believes she has an understanding of American-Russian Diplomacy because she can see a part of their country from her shoreline... come on... seriously.
If it were someone like Romney or Huckabee on deck... it wouldn't be a big deal.
    ...
Am I off on this... or what?

But.. regardless of what you might think about their views and opinions, they are free to speak and to feel this way about their country.
And personally... I am GLAD they are speaking their mind. At least they are being honest and saying what they feel and in doing so, let me know exactly where they are coming from. I believe there are a far greater number of Americans who feel this way... but, lack the courage, character and honesty to say how they feel due to the fear of a backlash against them by others. To me... those people are cowards and liars who lack the moral character they tell themseles (and others) they claim to possess.

You have got to be kidding? You think these people from the rallies are speaking their minds? Calling Obama a muslim and saying he associates with terrorists is the easy way for them to say they would never vote for a nigger.

They are not even close to saying what they feel. Behind closed doors it's fucking scary. Some are my relatives, I've seen it. So please don't call it courage. These people are nothing but ignorant pussies.

No. I'm not kidding. Are the things they are saying true? No. Do I agree what they say (believe)? NO. Is what they are saying what they honestly believe? YES.
At least, they have the courage to speak openly what they believe... no matter how misguided or ignorant those beliefs are. What I am saying is that I believe there are a greater number of people who believe these same things... but, lack the moral character to verbally express them and will lie in order to avoid being called ignorant or stupid. THOSE people are cowards.
I would much rather people be honest and say what they believe so I, and everyone else that is listening, will know where they are coming from... A position of ignorance and stupidity.
My point is these people are at least honest about their ignorance and hatred. The ones that are scary are the ones that also believe this way but will tell you (and everyone else) that they do not and hide their ignorance from us.
