    no problem... I was going to go as well but with the next 3 PJ shows and my girlfriend's sister coming to town tomorrow and a week and a half trip to Michigan after MSG1, I just couldn't fit REM in.

    19th NYC, 21st Atlanta... could fit a June 20th appearance in at a PJ show but seems unlikely

    awesome. i was there! i had my EV solo tour shirt on so met lots of pj fans tonight. hi pegasus and doin-the-evolution! :)

    once michael stipe announced pj was in the house i was hoping for an appearance but didn't want to get my hopes up...then ed came out for the encore. looked totally incognito with the scruff, thick black glasses and hat...but i'd recognize those moves anywhere! :D i'm on such a high from a GREAT show and i need to get to bed to rest up for the upcoming week!

    That was fantastic! As soon as he said they were in the house, I had a feeling Ed would come out. When the 1st encore started, we noticed an extra mic w/one of those stands that holds sheet music (no idea what these are called). We knew we were set!!
    Our plan was to leave after the first encore to beat the rush, and that's just what we did. We had our fill of our first REM show, plus a little hint of what's to come the next two nights!
    BRING ON PJ!!! :)

    Show was just awesome tonight. Weather was perfect for an intimate outdoor show. The Mann is just my favorite venue in Philly.

    we were there in the front row... second song in, (living well's the best revenge) my husband spotted ed backstage. a few songs later, i spotted jeff sitting there. ed was doing the ed dance and chatting with johnny marr at one point.

    michael announced that pearl jam was in the house shortly thereafter.

    Wow... I really can't wait to see REM in August (I doubt EV will appear but meh, I can dream :p) but to see him sing Begin The Begin with Stipe?! I'd probably keel over through sheer happiness alone... :o

    we flipped out at the show last night. I was sitting 3 rows behind the soundboard with my 2 teenage sons and a friend of theirs. sitting 2 rows in front of us during the Modest Mouse set was Ed and Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so cool cause NO ONE recognized them at all. People were sliding past them to get to their seats and never even took a double take.

    Jeff was Jeff...looked like another bad hair day. He was cool, taking pictures of Modest Mouse with his cellphone

    EV had his hair up in a ponytail tucked under a hat. And he wore glasses.

    I did not bother them during the set cause they definately were enjoying the show AND did not want to be recognized.

    After MM's set they got up, with security, to go backstage. Both my boys were standing near by. One son shook Jeff's hand and the other told EV he played a great show in VB ( we were there). EV gave my youngest son a big smile and then was whisked away by security. Another fan from the board, Pete, who flew in red eye from LA got to talk to Ed a bit and also shook his hand.

    Awesome.

    By the way, to clarify, REM closed with Man on the Moon, but EV did not sing it with them. Ed only joined them for Begin to Begin. Johnny Marr joined them for Man..

    Looking forward to both Camden shows and DC

    REM were on FIRE last night!!!! I loved the show and to see Ed do Begin the Begin was a huge highlight, the place went nuts!!!!
