Who's missing?
Sometimes list are unimaginative because it's easy to see the truth. But seriously, who is missing...I've been trying to think of some omissions, you can't please everyone.hippiemom = goodness0 -
That list is missing a Clinton. That's why it's conservative and unimaginative.
I don't see Madonna either. :(
Hell, where's Sean Penn??"Sarcasm: intellect on the offensive"

Madonna probably should be on there. There should probably be a lot more people from the world of pop culture.
Edit: I am suprised not to see Muhommad Ali.I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.0 -
What about Al Gore...if he invented the internet he shoudl be WAY up there.
Pop Culture....hmmmm....lasting effect or simply fad of the day? Maybe some.hippiemom = goodness0 -

That is why marilyn monroe is on there. I think Madonna will forever have a lasting effect.
Al Gore never claimed to invent the internet.I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.0 -

well it seems like they opened up a traditional history textbook and pulled the list from there. i'm seriously surprised over wilson, not just because he was openly racist (which had an impact on our society--increase in violence), but the interventionist aspect being painted so positively. wow.
they really played it safe with the ladies, with margret sanger being a possible exception. i'd throw alice paul on the list. she's my favorite suffragist. and what about that socialist hellen keller?if you wanna be a friend of mine

I think Rush Limbaugh should be there. But yeah, whoever I bump for Madonna, Rush and Ali, would be people that some say should not be bumped. It's a 100 person list with maybe 250 that deserve consideration.I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.0 -

ah, interesting point. i feel better now. although, it would be nice to see that in his blurb. and if that's the case, i'm surprised they didn't put andrew "indian killer" jackson up there (unless i missed it).if you wanna be a friend of mine

Muhammad Ali is not on this list??? At least Babe Ruth, the original king of connecting capitalism and sports, was on here. Noam Chomsky, revolutionary linguist, and revolutionary of the 20th and 21st century's. These people changed the way we experience life in the United States, and were ommitted.
Edit:
How can you put Betty Friedan on here and not have Ella Baker?0
