Dont ever compare Vietnam to Iraq as being a fake war, people really died in both wars you dumb shit. The main difference in both wars is the DRAFT, it was employed in the 30's 40's 50's and 60's it is not employed in Iraq. The soliders fighting in Iraq enlisted, let me repeat they enlisted to serve: Honor, Corp, God Country. So don't ever denigrate Veteran's again, 18 and 19 year olds were sent halfway around the world to help fight off the Vietcong and protect the innocent, and they didn't enlist they were drafted much like Bill Clinton who chose to go off to Canada instead of defending his country which he didn't in '93 WTC 1 Saudia Arabia bombings, USS Cole, Embassy bombings in Africa, peace time death toll under Clinton 4100, peace time.Philly '98 '00 (1 & 2) '03 '06 (1 & 2) '08 (1 & 2)

I didn't say cancer was a virus. I said cancer operates pretty much identically to the way HIV does.

Give me a freakin' break... Bush and Cheney never defended their country except from behind a desk with other people's children... not when they were asked to go.
Like earlier in the thread... if you are going to blame Clinton for 9/11, then he can't be blamed for the first WTC under that logic. My whole life

Here's an idea, how about we blame the people that flew the fucking planes into the buildings? I know it's a crazy approach, but I mean not everything is political. Clinton dropped the ball, Bush ignored some pretty solid evidence that an attack was coming.0 -

That's just crazy-talk... you mean blame the nutjobs who actually attacked us?!??!!? But it just has to be the fault of one of the political parties...
I agree... There are people here who blame everything that happens on Bush and people who blame everything on liberals... I don't know how they could honestly read what they write and not realize how illogical they sound.... Between threads like this and all of the conspiracy theory threads lately, I'm starting to really wonder about people in this world and how they get through everyday life.
We all have our level of bias or hypocrisy, but most of us can realize when an argument doesn't actually make sense and don't dig ourselves deeper. My whole life

Personally I had 3 friends enlist shortly after 9/11. It was to fight Al Queda not Iraq. They all have told me that they are proud of what they accomplished but it wasn't what they signed up for. It's possible there are many more in the same boat. Of course there are some there for the purpose of Iraq, but don't assume all soldiers want to be there.
Clinton dodged the draft. So did Bush. So did Ted Nugget (I almost forgot he was the purpose of the thread. Just like Bush forgot the purpose of his war on terror.) So if draft dodgers are pussies at least Clinton is only a pussy and not a hypocrate as well.
BTW Clinton did retalliate for all of the terrorist attacks you mentioned. Unfortunately he was was met with an unsupportive Republican Congress.10/31/2000 (****)

That's fucking wonderful. Get over it, W and I know we are more important than you, so we pull strings.
W, Dan Qualye and others supported the war and got into a very exclusive get-out-of war free card. That is not something to get over. It's the ultimate display of cowardice. That is simply them saying "I am more important. I love this war, but want some other schmuck to fight it for me. I won't even roll the dice and subject myself to the draft that all the worthless masses are subjected to." Maybe it helps explain why he got us in this mess--because he cannot even remotely relate to those who may have to fight.I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.0 -

It's this type of self centered overtly naive approach that has America going to hell in hand basket in the first place.
the irony is stunning..Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Clinton WAS pretty gung ho about that little war in Kosovo. I'm sure you were opposing that decision too right? Right...All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

Here's a news flash ... not everyone who hates Bush was a Clinton fan. Plenty of people that oppose this war were opposed to Bosnia too. And that's why it's so stupid to pull out the indignant "Well, what about Clinton???" argument when someone criticizes Bush.
My answer to that is "Who gives a fuck about Clinton? I didn't like him either, and we're talking about Bush now because he's the one who's fucking up now.""Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630 -

So you never voted for Clinton then. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

Well then I hope yer not supporting that bitch Hillary. She claims she opposes NAFTA but I'm not fooled by her lies. Admittedly, I oppose NAFTA also but I'm not willing to vote for a Dem over it.All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

Just imagine my disappointment when the first female with a real shot at winning is someone I truly can't stand :( You shouldn't be picking on me, you should be filled with sympathy for my plight."Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630
