there are some lovely shots here - nice subject range, and great composition -
pearlwax - i think every photographer has a bunch of bad shots for every good one - an artist has a book full of crap for every nice picca and a muso has a floorfull of lyrics for every good song - it's learning what your good at, and recognising it when you do hit it that counts. You have a great eye for 'light and dark', and capturing interest in an otherwise ordinary scene - to me thats what arts all about - showing people something that the 'average eye' wouldnt notice - hope that makes sence
IamMINE - ask around - i had shots taken of my kids by a work friend's sister-in-law - just to practice her photography - i just paid for developing the film - she took them out to a farm and had them climbing all over the shed rails, and lying in the grass - they are beautiful, and they capture the boys perfectly - you dont need a professional, just someone who has a bit of creative spirit in them.
Aaaaagh, I thought I recognised these Belgian trains ... You are a real talent, I really, really, really love your work! Do you study at the academy in Gent or do you live there? What kind of camera do you use (saw the reflection of your camera in one of the photo's), I thought it was a leica but I'm not sure ...?

Lots of questions here. I use a simple Canon Powershot A70. Digital camera. I don't study fotography at all, but I like it and I just go by gut feeling. You thinking I study it is quite a compliment, but I'm no where near as good as some of the photography students I know. I do live in Ghent though.

and hey - i am old - just my opinion. shaggy is sexy to a lot of people, just definitely not me. i think well trimmed is the way to go - but just my 2 cents.
now that i've had a moment to catch my breath i realize there isn't anything i can say which hasn't already been said in some way or another. but i wanted to express my appreciation for your willingness to share such breathtaking photos.
i loved the b&w city pics & the b&w rural shots especially the wire fence w/ the bathtubs in the field. i liked the photos taken in the side mirror of the car both the city lights and the dog. but of all your photos, the selection labeled "colors" on page one are the be all and end all imho. heaven.
